Alpine A290 priced from €38,700 in France. The range comprises four offerings: A290 GT, A290 GT Premium, A290 GT Performance and A290 GTS.

Alpine ushers in the era of electric sportiness with the A290. With its muscular proportions and limited weight of 1,479 kg, the A290 encapsulates all the hallmarks of an Alpine: performance, agility and intuitive driving. With 300 Nm of torque, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.4 seconds with its most powerful engine.

Thanks to its multi-link rear axle and four hydraulic suspension bump stops, the A290 boasts a sporty road feel while remaining comfortable in daily use. Its dimensions remain compact: length 3,990 mm, width 1,820 mm, height 1,520 mm, wheelbase 2,530 mm. This 5-door, 5-seater compact city car boasts a load capacity of 326 litres.

The A290 features a double X motif in its full LED light signature in tribute to the adhesive strips on the long-range lights of rally cars. Its wider track and muscular lines give it the sporty look of an Alpine. Styling elements, such as the front bumper and rear diffuser design, echo those of the A110, from which it borrows the Brembo 4-piston monobloc front brake callipers. The choice of generous 19-inch wheels and two-tone bodywork with a black roof complete the package.

The A290 is available in four body colours: Deep Black (standard), Alpine Vision Blue, Matte Tornado Grey and Pearlescent White.

On board, the cockpit boasts a sporty, refined design with, depending on the version, a combination of grained coated textile/blue fabric upholstery or Evee Grey/Deep Blue Nappa two-tone leather upholstery, a two-tone dashboard with A290 backlighting and a customisable lighting ambience. The centre console is inspired by the iconic design of the A110, incorporating the RND transmission controls. The exclusive three-spoke sports steering wheel includes the RCH (for Recharge) rotary knob and the OV (for Overtake) button straight from the world of Formula 1 racing.

Incorporating the latest generation of active and passive safety technologies, the A290 features up to 26 driving aids to make driving easier, simplify and assist parking manoeuvres, and protect its occupants.

The A290 GT: the first step into the Alpine universe

With 180 bhp and a 52-kWh battery, the A290 GT comes with Michelin Sport EV tyres and 19-inch Iconic alloy wheels as standard. It has an onboard 11 kW bi-directional AC charger and can achieve 100 kW DC in fast charging mode. The blue interior is finished in coated fabric, enhanced by a Nappa leather sports steering wheel and ornated with a French flag on the dashboard. Heated front seats, tinted windows, automatic climate control and ambient lighting all come as standard. Regarding connectivity, the A290 GT includes the Alpine Portal system, with a high-resolution 10.1-inch screen featuring Google Automotive Services with Maps, Voice Assistant and Google Play. The package also includes adaptive cruise control and a reversing camera.

Prices in France starts from €38,700 including VAT.

The A290 GT Premium: style and comfort take centre stage

Powered by the 180 bhp engine, the top-of-the-range equipment of the A290 GT Premium sets it apart. Identifiable by its black two-tone roof, its matt blue roofline and Brembo Alpine Blue front brake callipers, the A290 GT Premium incorporates Alpine Drive Sound as standard, as well as the Devialet high-fidelity audio system developed with the French specialist in cutting-edge sound technology. Its Nappa leather with Alpine stitching and monograms add a touch of sophistication to the interior. It comes with a heated steering wheel, an induction smartphone charger and a rimless rear-view mirror with automatic anti-glare function for even greater onboard comfort.

Prices in France starts from €41,900 including VAT.

The A290 GT Performance: power and sportiness

Fitted with the 220 bhp electric motor, the A290 GT Performance accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds with a top speed of 170 km/h. The A290 GT Performance boasts Brembo Racing Red front brake callipers and Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tyres. Black chromed design elements add a dynamic touch, such as the Alpine badging and the A-arrow logo at the front. It also features electrically folding door mirrors.

With its focus on performance, the A290 GT Performance features the Alpine Telemetrics system that allows drivers to monitor their performance, optimise the vehicle’s efficiency and learn how to exploit the car’s potential through coaching and challenges inspired by the world of gaming.

Prices in France starts from €41,700 including VAT.

The A290 GTS: the best of both worlds

Exuding refinement and sportiness, the A290 GTS combines the equipment of the A290 GT Premium with the most powerful 220 bhp engine. It features all the equipment of the other three models, with the addition of 19-inch black Snowflakes wheels and Brembo Racing Red front brake callipers.

The most striking features include the Devialet high-fidelity audio system, Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tyres, a two-tone interior in Nappa leather and Alpine Telemetrics Premium.

Prices in France starts from €44,700 including VAT.

A Première Édition of the 1,995 A290 GTS across all the countries in which it is sold

To coincide with the launch of the A290, Alpine is launching the A290 Première Édition, a limited series of 1,955 cars in tribute to the creation of the brand by Jean Rédélé in 1955. Based on Alpine’s top-of-the-range GTS range, it boasts 220 bhp and a 52-kWh battery, delivering a range of up to 380 km WLTP. With 300 Nm of torque, it accelerates from nought to 100 km/h in a scant 6.4 seconds.

A blue roofline and blue brake callipers enhance its Deep Black paintwork. The interior, in Nappa leather, features Devialet’s 615W high-fidelity audio system (9 speakers). The 19-inch gloss black Snowflake wheels are fitted with specially developed Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tyres. A ‘Première Édition 1 out of 1955’ plaque and ‘Première Édition’ floor mats are a reminder of the exclusivity of this limited series.

The A290 Première Édition is available in 3 exclusive optional liveries:

– The Première Édition Beta refers to the A290 show car with Pearlescent White two-tone bodywork, a black roof, exclusive stripping and 19-inch Iconic diamond-coated wheels with blue wheel centres. The chromed Alpine monogram and Alpine emblem on the front wings are matt anodised blue.
– La Bleue Première Edition: Alpine Vision Blue two-tone bodywork, black roof, exclusive stripping, red brake callipers and blue wheel centres, and 19-inch Snowflake diamond-coated wheels with aero discs.
– La Grise Première Edition: Tornado Grey Matte two-tone bodywork, black roof, exclusive stripping, blue brake callipers and wheel centres, and 19-inch semi-diamond-coated wheels.

Prices in France starts from €46,200 including VAT.
