TPS adds all-electric CUPRA Born and ID. Buzz models to its delivery fleet

TPS, the parts business of Volkswagen Group UK, is supercharging its parts delivery service with the addition of 25 all-electric CUPRA Born and Volkswagen ID. Buzz models to its fleet.

The new fleet of electric vehicles will be rolled out across TPS’s network of centres, including three CUPRA Born models into the Northern Ireland delivery fleets of TPS Ballymena – the latest TPS Centre to open its doors – TPS Cookstown and TPS Mallusk.

TPS Coventry, TPS Gatwick, TPS Portsmouth and TPS Southampton will also receive the new electric vehicles into their delivery fleets. They will be used by the TPS centres to carry out multiple daily delivery runs and support the existing fleet with additional day-to-day operations.

Currently, 83 TPS centres provide genuine Volkswagen Group parts for independent workshops and bodyshops across the UK for vehicles from the Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Audi, SEAT, CUPRA, Škoda and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brands.

Catherine Baker, Head of Group Parts Operations, Volkswagen Group UK, said: “The addition of the 25 all-electric CUPRA Born and Volkswagen ID. Buzz models is a major boost to our strategy to electrify the 710-strong TPS fleet.

“As part of our plans to accelerate our EV journey, these vehicles will help to pave the way for our business to cut its UK carbon footprint significantly, driving the transformation of our delivery service that will benefit both the planet and our customers.”

The latest additions to the fleet mark a significant expansion of recent pilot projects of electric vehicles in selected TPS centres. These included pilots with the Volkswagen ID.3 and the ABT eTransporter van in specially commissioned wraps.

The ongoing electrification of the TPS fleet is a significant milestone on the road to more sustainable business operations, and part of the Volkswagen Group’s ongoing transformation to carbon-neutral mobility for all.
