Ford F-150 Lightning Is Heading To Switzerland

The Ford F-150 Lightning, an electric extension of America’s best-selling F-Series pickup truck line, is coming to Switzerland in limited numbers this year, the automaker announced Tuesday.

It’s the second European market for the truck following the April announcement that F-150 Lightning is coming to Norway.

With its planned launch set for the end of November, F-150 Lightning will prove the electric truck is at home not only in cities, but also in the middle of nature and on the challenging roads of the Alps.

According to Ford, the F-150 Lightning can be ordered from November and costs 127,000 Swiss francs (132,292 euros). That price tag likely means that Swiss customers will be able to purchase a well-equipped version of the F-150 Lightning, though it’s unclear if it will be some sort of special variant or not.

In Norway, there’s a singular option for customers: the Ford F-150 Lightning Lariat Launch Edition. This special edition is uniquely styled in Antimatter Blue and comes in extremely limited quantities, with deliveries slated to commence in 2024. These images reveal that the F-150 Lightning in Switzerland is also a Lariat-trimmed model, offering Swiss customers the exact same choice.

The F-150 Lightning is anticipated to offer a targeted 386 km EPA-estimated zero-tailpipe emission driving range, 3,493 kg towing capacity and 805 kg payload.

The electric truck is powered by a dual electric motor, four-wheel drive powertrain generating 450 HP and 1,050 Nm of torque, enabling performance car acceleration of 0-100 km/h in less than 5 seconds and supported by Normal, Sport, Off-Road, and Tow/Haul drive modes that can inspire confidence across a wide variety of terrain.
