SAIC-GM-Wuling Launches Baojun Yun Duo EV in China. Baojun Yun Duo is available in four variants at a price between €12,370 and €15,620.

SAIC-GM-Wuling joint venture Baojun expanded its lineup in China with the launch of the Yun Duo all-electric family car. The Yun Duo, which means “cloud” in Chinese, is joining the Yep small SUV and KiWi mini car in the growing Baojun EV family. Four variants are available at a price between RMB 95,800 and RMB 123,800 (€12,370 and €15,620).

The Yun Duo comes standard with a 100-kW electric drive motor and generates maximum torque of 330 Nm. Two options with a battery pack capacity of 37.9 kWh and 50.6 kWh offer a range of 360 km and 460 km to meet the needs of those who prefer urban commuting and those who appreciate longer-distance travel. Thirty minutes of DC fast charging is all it takes to charge the vehicle from 30% to 80%.

The Yun Duo is 4,295 mm long, 1,850 mm wide and 1,652 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,700 mm, enabling its spacious interior. As a true family car, the Yun Duo has 1,707 liters of flexible storage space with the rear seats folded down.

The stylish exterior, available in three cloud-evoking colors, is highlighted by a panoramic roof measuring more than two square meters and 18-inch wheels. Its ground clearance of 150 mm allows the Yun Duo to go places where many of its competitors cannot.

A special feature in the Yun Duo’s classic two-tone interior is the industry-first Cloud Sofa. All five sofa-like seats are hand-sewn using fabric that is light and breathable. The three-seat sofa in back can be adjusted up to 135 degrees, adding to the comfortable passenger experience.

Making its global debut in the Yun Duo is the all-new Ling OS 2.0 connectivity system with efficient voice interaction. Controls and infotainment can be conveniently accessed on the 8.8-inch instrument screen and 15.6-inch smart console screen.

Additional customer-focused features include wireless cellphone charging, 265-color ambient lighting, an electric tailgate, side air bags, a 360° panoramic camera system, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Auto Hold and rain-sensing wipers.

Baojun Yun Duo customers in Shanghai are eligible for a green license plate free of charge.
