The all-electric 2023 Hyundai IONIQ 6 has completed its final testing and is ready to hit Canadian roads.
In terms of range, the IONIQ 6 Preferred Long Range RWD trim received an impressive estimate from Natural Resources Canada of 581 kilometers. The IONIQ 6 Preferred Long Range AWD achieved a Natural Resources Canada-estimated range of 509 kilometers, and the Preferred Long Range AWD w/Ultimate Package offers range of 435 kilometers.
This means that drivers can travel for extended periods without worrying about recharging.

“Continually improving the efficiency of our vehicles is always a top priority for our development teams,” said Steve Flamand, executive director of product, corporate, IT and digital strategy at Hyundai Canada. “Instead of just adding a larger battery to increase the range, we chose to optimize IONIQ 6’s aerodynamic performance and its Electric-Global Modular Platform for efficiency to produce these long driving ranges.”
IONIQ 6’s ultra-low drag coefficient of 0.22 is assisted by a low nose, active air flaps, wheel gap reducers, elliptical wing-inspired spoiler with winglet, slight boattail structure, separation traps on both sides of the rear bumper, full underbody cover, deflectors and reduced wheel-arch gaps.
