Genesis GV60 claimed the Best Electric SUV award at the 2023 What Car? Awards. Genesis GV60 was praised for its comfortable ride, infotainment system, competitive pricing compared to other contenders, as well as the quietness of the driving experience.
Hosted at Grosvenor House in Park Lane, the What Car? Awards sees the automotive industry come together to recognise the UK’s biggest achievements and contributions.
This award is the first for GV60 in 2023 and follows a trail of multiple awards received in Europe in 2022, such as ‘German Car of the Year’ in the premium segment and ‘Swiss Car of the Year’.
What Car? Editor Steve Huntingford said: “With its first electric SUV, Genesis has created a truly game-changing car. GV60 is the South Korean brand’s first all-electric model to be launched in Europe and is built on the bespoke E-GMP platform, which offers multiple benefits such as boosting efficiency, improving performance and driving pleasure, while also allowing for ultra-fast charging, with a 10-80% charge available in just 18 minutes.
Genesis also received What Car? recognition for its GV70 SUV, which claimed Best Interior for a Family SUV, with a luxurious but versatile interior that can be personalised choosing from a variety of different colour themes and materials.
