Genesis Starts Sales of the Electrified GV70 SUV in Europe

Genesis Motor UK announces that the Electrified GV70 SUV is now officially on sale and, since its pre-order opening in July, first customer deliveries will take place this month. Electrified GV70 is the third all-electric model to be launched by the South Korean brand this year following the launch of the GV60 and Electrified G80.

Embodying luxury, performance and versatility, Electrified GV70 is the all-electric iteration of the popular GV70 SUV which launched in Europe last year.  This new model features an advanced and refined all-wheel drive dual electric motor powertrain that delivers a powerful 360kW combined output, which in combination with the 77.4kWh battery provides an impressive range of 283 miles (WLTP). Thanks to the use of cutting edge 800-volt architecture, Electrified GV70 requires just 18 minutes to charge from 10 to 80% using a 350kW rapid charger.

Lawrence Hamilton, Managing Director for Genesis Motor Europe, commented: “Electrified GV70 is one of our most exciting models for Genesis in Europe.  Evolving our successful GV70 model into the new era of electrification, its powerful driving performance, impressive range, elegant styling and exceptional comfort provides huge appeal to modern professionals and families. As our third all-electric model to launch this year, it also continues our commitment at Genesis to become a completely zero emissions brand by 2030”.

As standard, Electrified GV70 is generously equipped with cutting edge technology, including a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 14.5-inch high-definition touchscreen infotainment display with a dedicated battery electric (BEV) theme, and state-of-the-art driver safety assistance features.

Customers can choose from 15 exterior colours and four premium paint finishes – solid, metallic, pearlescent and matte, which includes Barossa Burgundy in Matte – a new colour for the electrified range. For the interior, there’s a choice of different colour themes, with three each for the standard leather and three options of the Nappa leather upgrade.

Electrified GV70 is available exclusively in the Sport trim and, as with all Genesis models, can be personalised using the easy-to-use online configurator. This allows customers to choose from a range of colour and trim options, as well as select a number of carefully curated upgrade packages based on technology, innovation, and comfort.

Owners of Electrified GV70 can take advantage of the ‘Genesis Charging’ programme, which offers customers a comprehensive, stress-free and Europe-wide electric charging solution that includes up to 275,000 charging locations. Designed to be hassle-free and easy-to-use, the service uses just a single app and charge card, while billing for home and public charging are streamlined into a single account. Furthermore, customers benefit from dedicated, 24-hour emergency support.
