
Chinese electric vehicle maker NIO officially launched its second electric SUV, the NIO ES6. The ES6 officially rolled off the production line on Tuesday at the JAC NIO Advanced Manufacturing Center. The new model is slated to begin delivery to users in the second half of June.
Executives and representatives from Bosch, Continental, Novelis, ABB, Magneti Marelli, BASF and 300 other NIO partners were present to witness the first ES6 production model come off the line.

Founder, Chairman and CEO of NIO, William Li, expressed his gratitude to the company’s partners, saying, “Thank you for the great support you’ve all shown. The NIO ES6, which joins the bigger 7-seat ES8 electric SUV, features 4.7 second 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration, a NEDC range of over 510 km (317 miles), and 33.9-meter braking distance from 100-0 km/h. The ES6 expands the design language of the NIO product line with a stylish and sporty exterior plus a refined, high-tech interior.
