As part of its commitment to creating a zero-emission, zero-fatality future for mobility, Nissan recently demonstrated its real-world testing of next generation autonomous drive prototype vehicles in London and the Fully Charged Show had chance to test the autonomous Nissan LEAF.
Our first ride in a fully autonomous car on public roads in the UK. Nissan very kindly arranged this experience, I’d particularly like to that Tetsuya Iijima, who is ‘not’ driving the car, he had been showing this vehicle to numerous journalists before we arrived but still showed great enthusiasm.
This was the first time that Nissan has demonstrated its latest autonomous drive technology on public roads in Europe. Nissan has already conducted public-road testing in Japan and the United States to pursue easy-to-use autonomous drive technology in real life situations.
