
The French plug-in car market was up 12% Year-on-Year, having registered 2,850 units last month. The Year-to-date registrations are up 26% to 5,549 units, with the market share close to 2%.
As usual, the Renault Zoe was the leader, this time with 1,565 units, up 24% regarding the same month last year, no doubt influenced by the 40 kWh battery version, representing 54% of all plug-in vehicle registrations this year.
In second place we have the Nissan Leaf (277 registrations), followed by the BMW i3 Rex with 119 units.
On the YTD ranking there were no significant changes, with the Renault Zoe a distant first (3,211 units), followed by the Nissan Leaf (422) and the veteran Peugeot iOn (222).
As for the LCV (N1) market, sales this year are down 4% to 714 units, with the Renault Kangoo ZE in its usual leading position, with 261 units, followed by the Renault Zoe Van (96 registrations, up 75% YoY) and the Peugeot Partner EV (95).
