The Netherlands have registered 1.487 plug-in electric vehicles last month, dropping 60% Year-on-Year, but considering that last year’s result was heavily influenced by fiscal changes occurred later on, the best comparison should be with the previous months of 2016.
In that regard, it was the second best month of the year, so it might mean this market is recovering.
The Volkswagen Passat GTE was the best-selling model last month, by registering 250 units, its best result of the year and representing 44% of all VW Passat sales.
Second was the BMW 330e, with 182 units, representing 49% of all BMW 3-Series sales and a new personal best, while in Third we have the Audi Q7 e-Tron, with 133 sales and responsible for 84% of all Q7 registered last month.
In the Year-to-date ranking, the leader Tesla Model S (1.342 units, 57 last month) has seen its advantage being shortened by the #2 Volvo XC90 PHEV (1.303, 123) and #3 BMW 330e (1.121, 182), so we will probably see a close race between them until the last day of 2016.
