Dongfeng Citroen has unveiled the E-Elysee EV, an all-electric version of its Elysee sedan the Beijing auto show.
The Citroen E-Elysee uses a lithium-ion battery to offer a range of up to 250 km (155 miles) and features a fast-charge function that can top it up in just 30 minutes (6.5 hours in normal charging mode).
The E-Elysee will be built using the same four-door saloon body of the regular car and sold alongside the newly launched e-Mehari, which is an all-electric open-top model that’s also sold in France.
Citroen didn’t have much to say about the new E-Elysee at the time, except that it is scheduled for a market launch in 2017 and will serve a key role in electric cars aimed at China.
