All major automakers are posting January sales numbers for plug-in electric vehicles.

Sales of the all-electric Nissan LEAF totaled 755 units, down 29.4% compared to January of 2015 when Nissan sold 1,070 LEAF EV’s. Last year, Nissan LEAF sold 17,269, which was down by 42.8% compared with 2014 when 30,200 were sold. Nissan introduced the 2016 all-electric LEAF with an available 30 kWh battery that provides an EPA-estimated range of 107 miles – a 27-percent increase over the previous 24 kWH battery.
2016 Chevrolet Volt sold 996 units last month, up 83.8 percent compared to January of 2015 when Chevy sold 542 Volts. Last year, 15,393 Chevrolet Volt plug-ins have been sold, which is down by 18% compared to 2014 when 18,805 units were sold.

Prius Plug-in Hybrid sold just 10 units last month. Last year, sales of the Prius Plug-in Hybrid were at 4,191. The next generation Prius PHV will come in the second half of 2016 as a 2017 model car.

Ford C-MAX Energi sold 350 units in January. Previously in December, Ford sold 579 plug-ins. Last year, sales of the Ford C-Max Energi were 7,591.

Ford Fusion Energi finished last month with 581 deliveries, after selling 1,058 units in December. Last year, sales of the Ford Fusion Energi were 9,750.
|Cadillac ELR |
GM sold just 67 Cadillac ELRs last month, down 27.2% compared to January of 2015 when Cadillac sold 92 ELRs. Last year, overall sales of the Cadillac ELR were at 1,024.

Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrids finished last month with 27 deliveries. Previously in December, Panamera S E-Hybrid sold 16 units. Last year, sales of the Panamera S E-Hybrid were 407.

Porsche sold 146 Cayenne S E-Hybrid SUVs last month, after selling 137 units in December. Last year, sales of the Cayenne S E-Hybrid were 1,103.

Tesla Motors delivered 17,192 Model S vehicles, according to Q3 results.

The Tesla Model X is priced as high as $144,000. 507 Model X vehicles were produced during the fourth quarter and 208 were delivered to customers.

BMW i8 sold 32 plug-in hybrid sports cars last month. BMW sold 656 in December. Last year, 2,265 BMW i8 sports cars have been sold. The BMW i8 has an MSRP of $135,700
|BMW X5 xDrive40e|
The BMW X5 xDrive40e sold 181 units, after selling 607 plug-in SUVs in December, 167 in November and 118 in October. With a total system output of 230 kW/313 hp generated by a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder gasoline engine and a synchronous electric motor, the BMW X5 xDrive40e achieves a combined fuel consumption of 69 – 71 mpg. The X5 xDrive is priced from $63,095 including $995 D&H.
|Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive |
Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive finished last month with 58 deliveries, after selling 97 units in December. The B-Class Electric Drive starts from $41,450 and has an all-electric range of 87 miles. For an extra $600, one can purchase the extended range package which allows the driver go 104 miles. Overall for the year, 1,906 B-Class Electric Drive have been sold.
|Mercedes-Benz S550 Plug-in Hybrid|
Mercedes-Benz S550 Plug-in Hybrid sold 19 units last month. The S550 Plug-in Hybrid also sold 35 copies in December, 21 in November and 25 in October.The Mercedes-Benz S550 Plug-in Hybrid offers a system output of 436 hp and 479 lb-ft torque, sprints from 0 to 62 mph in just 5.2 seconds and can drive up to 20 miles purely electrically.

Volkswagen e-Gold sold 328 units last month, after selling 609 units in December. Last year, 4,232 VW e-Golf EVs have been sold. The all-electric 2015 Volkswagen e-Golf is on sale at participating dealerships in select states. The e-Golf was rated by the EPA at126 city, 105 highway, and 116 combined MPGe and given a range of up to 83 miles.
|Audi A3 Sportback e-tron|
Audi A3 Sportback e-tron sold 327 units during the month. The Audi A3 Sportback e-tron is priced at $37,900, and purchasing customers may qualify for applicable state and federal incentives and tax credits. The A3 Sportback e-tron features a 1.4 liter TFSI engine with a six-speed S tronic transmission which combined with a liquid-cooled, permanent magnet-driven electric motor produces 204. An 8.8-kWh lithium-ion battery pack provides all-electric range of 22 miles.
|Volvo XC90 T8 PHEV|
Volvo XC90 PHEV sold 226 units during the month. The MSRP of the Volvo XC90 T8 PHEV is $68,100 before incentives. Powered by Volvo’s 2.0 liter supercharged and turbocharged Drive-E engine and a rear axle electric motor, the XC90 T8 Twin Engine can achieve 394 horsepower and 0-60 MPH in just 5.7 seconds. The high-voltage battery pack is good for 17 miles of all-electric driving
|Hyundai Sonata PHEV|
Hyundai Sonata plug-in hybrid sold 175 units during the month. Hyundai Sonata PHEV is priced from $34,600 before incentives. Sonata Plug-in Hybrid 9.8 kWh lithium polymer battery system is roughly five times larger than the Sonata Hybrid’s battery, and helps it achieve an all-electric range of 27 miles and 99 MPGe combined in charge-depleting EV mode.

Kia Soul EV sold 81 units last month, after selling 96 units in December. Last year, 1,015 Soul EVs have been sold. Offered in two trims, Base and + (Plus), the 2015 Kia Soul EV MSRP is $33,700 (not including federal tax rebate of $7,500) for the Base trim. Overall for the year, 529 Soul EVs have been sold.

Last month, smart fortwo ED sold 48 units last month, after selling 179 units in December. In 2015, sales of the smart fortwo ED were 1,387 units.

For January, Fiat 500e sold 275 units, after selling 265 units in December. Last year, 6,194 Fiat 500e EVs have been sold.
|Chevrolet Spark EV|
Spark EV sold 139 units, after selling 152 units in December. Last year, 2,629 Chevrolet Spark EVs have been sold.
|Ford Focus Electric |
Deliveries of the Ford Focus Electric were 66 in January. In December and November, Ford sold 96 and 93 Focus Electrics respectively. Last year, sales of the Ford Focus Electric were 1,582.
|Mitsubishi i |
Mitsubishi sold 2 i-MiEV electric cars in January. Last year, 115 i-MiEV EVs have been sold. The 2016 Mitsubishi i-MiEV will arrive at Mitsubishi dealers across the United States in late March 2015. With a starting MSRP of only $22,995, the 2016 i-MiEV is the most affordably-priced electric vehicle available in America today, and after factoring in the Federal tax credit of $7,500, the net starting MSRP is reduced to $15,495.
