Final Update: February 2015 Plug-in Sales

All major automakers are posting February sales numbers for plug-in electric vehicles.

NOTE: As always, this article is updated throughout the day as soon as more data is available.

2013-Nissan-LeafNissan LEAF
Sales of the all-electric Nissan LEAF totaled 1,198, down 15.9 percent compared to February of 2014 when Nissan sold 1,425 LEAF’s. In January, Nissan LEAF sold 1,070 units, which was 15% less compared to January of 2014.
2013-Chevrolet-VoltChevrolet Volt
Chevrolet Volt finished last month with just 693 deliveries, a decrease of 48 percent compared to February 2014 when 1,210 were sold. In January, Chevrolet Volt sold just 542 deliveries, a decrease of 41 percent compared to January 2014 when 918 were sold.
2013-Prius-Plug-inToyota Prius Plug-in
Prius Plug-in Hybrid sold 397 units during the month, which is down by 61.9 percent compared to February of 2014 when 1,041 were sold.
2013-C-Max-EnergiFord C-Max Energi
Ford C-MAX Energi sold 498 units in February. Previously in January, Ford sold 395 plug-ins.
2013-Fusion-EnergiFord Fusion Energi
Ford Fusion Energi finished last month with 603 deliveries, after selling 426 units in January and 789 units in December.
2014-Cadillac-ELRCadillac ELR
GM sold 127 Cadillac ELRs last month, up 119% compared to February of 2014. The 2014 Cadillac ELR has a starting price of $75,995, including a $995 destination charge but excluding tax, title, license and dealer fees.
2014-Porsche-Panamera-S-HybridPorsche Panamera S-E Hybrid
Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrids finished last month with 40 deliveries. Previously in January, Panamera S E-Hybrid sold 61 units.
Porsche-Cayenne-S-E-Hybrid-300-150Porsche Cayenne S e-Hybrid
Porsche sold 106 Cayenne S E-Hybrid SUVs last month, after selling 83 units in January. The 2015 Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid is the first plug-in hybrid in the premium SUV segment. The Cayenne S Hybrid has a lithium-ion traction battery with an energy capacity of 10.8 kWh, which enables an all-electric driving range of 11 to 22 miles, combined fuel consumption is 39 mpg US with 79 g/km of CO2.
2013-Tesla-Model-STesla Model S – Does not report exactly monthly sales
Tesla Motors delivered 9,834 Model S vehicles and produced more than 11,000 of the cars, according to Q4 results.
2013-Focus-EVFord Focus Electric
Deliveries of the Ford Focus Electric were 145 in February. In January, Ford sold 85 Focus Electrics.
BMW-i3BMW i3
BMW i3 achieved 1,089 sales last month, after selling 670 units in January. BMW is now offering a new low cost DC fast charger for $6,548 at authorized BMW partners.

BMW i8 sold 113 plug-in hybrid sports cars in February.. BMW sold 85 in January, 158 units in December, 126 units in November and 204 units in October. BMW delivered the first plug-in hybrid BMW i8 sport cars at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, and auctioned One-of-a-kind BMW i8 Concours d’Elegance Edition for $825,000. The BMW i8 has an MSRP of $135,700
B-Class-Electric-Drive-300x150Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive
Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive finished last month with 109 deliveries, after selling 240 in January and 326 in December. The B-Class Electric Drive starts from $41,450 and has an all-electric range of 87 miles. For an extra $600, one can purchase the extended range package which allows the driver go 104 miles.
e-golf-300x150Volkswagen e-Golf
Volkswagen e-Gold sold 130 units last month, after selling 181 units in January. In December, the e-Golf sold 237 units. The all-electric 2015 Volkswagen e-Golf is on sale at participating dealerships in select states. The e-Golf was rated by the EPA at126 city, 105 highway, and 116 combined MPGe and given a range of up to 83 miles.

Kia Soul EV sold 48 units last month, after selling 69 units during January. Offered in two trims, Base and + (Plus), the 2015 Kia Soul EV MSRP will be $33,700 (not including federal tax rebate of $7,500) for the Base and $35,700 for the Plus (not including federal tax rebate of $7,500).
2013-Smart-Fortwo-EDSmart Fortwo Electric Drive
Last month, smart fortwo ED sold 76 units last month, after selling 147 units in January.
2013-Fiat-500eFiat 500e
For February, Fiat 500e sold 117 units, after selling 119 units in January. The 2013 Fiat 500e is priced at $32,500, which includes a $700 destination charge. However, eligible California residents may be able to purchase the 2013 Fiat 500e for as low as $20,500, after federal credits.
Spark-EVChevrolet Spark EV
GM sold 119 Spark EVs in last month, after selling 86 units in January and 131 units in December of 2014.
2013-Honda-Accord-Plug-inHonda Accord Plug-in
The Honda Accord Plug-In Hybrid logged 12 units last month, after selling 46 units in January and 63 units in December of 2014.
2013-Honda-Fit-EVHonda Fit EV
Honda Fit EV didn’t sold any unit last month. A total of 1,069 Fit EVs has been sold since the vehicle hit the market in mid-2012. Honda Fit EV production will be halted this fall when the automaker produces its 1,100th Fit EV. With the Fit EV being halted this fall, Honda will be left without a all-electric vehicle to compete in the growing segment.
2013-Toyota-RAV4-EVToyota RAV4 EV
Toyota RAV4 EV sold just 2 units last month. The RAV EV sold 7 units in January, 37 units in December, 83 units in November and 97 units in October. For 2014, sales of the Toyota RAV4 EV were 1,184 units.
2013-Mitsubishi-iMitsubishi i
Mitsubishi sold just 2 i-MiEV electric cars in February, after selling just 3 units in January.The 2016 Mitsubishi i-MiEV will arrive at Mitsubishi dealers across the United States in late March 2015. With a starting MSRP of only $22,995, the 2016 i-MiEV is the most affordably-priced electric vehicle available in America today, and after factoring in the Federal tax credit of $7,500, the net starting MSRP is reduced to $15,495.
