Renault and Vinci Park Partner on Electric Vehicles

Renault is signing an agreement with Vinci Park, a European leader in parking management, to provide charging infrastructure and associated services for electric vehicles in car parks.

Vinci Park is also taking part in a trial on electric mobility (SAVE) conducted by the Renault-Nissan Alliance.

Following plans announced by the French government on 1 October 2009 and 13 April 2010 to develop electric vehicles, Vinci Park and Renault are jointly studying the best way to deploy charging infrastructure in the car parks of the Vinci Park network.

Vinci Park and Renault will also develop services linked to the charging and parking of electric vehicles, in line with customer requirements.

To this end, Renault and Vinci Park will set up working groups to jointly study:

• the sizing of the charging infrastructure;
• technical solutions;
• charging-related services and packages; and
• parking solutions tailored to electric vehicles.

At the same time, Vinci Park is taking part in the all-electric mobility trial organized by the Renault-Nissan Alliance in the Seine Aval area outside Paris (SAVE project). Working with the local authorities, Vinci Park will study the charging infrastructure of car parks located in the area covered by SAVE. As part of this project, Vinci Park will have access to the electric vehicles built by the Renault-Nissan Alliance and will be able to run life-sized trials on charging points and their use.
