EU electric vehicle adoption continues to accelerate, with November registrations jumping over 44% year-over-year to 188,730 units, accounting for 21.3% of the market.
In the first ten months of 2025, 1,473,447 new battery-electric cars were registered, capturing 16.4% of the EU market share, an increase from the low baseline of 13.2% in October 2024 YTD.
Registrations of pure electric cars totaled 1,300,188 units, securing a 16.1% YTD market share—a decent rise from 13.1% last year.
New battery-electric car registrations hit 1,132,603 units, now accounting for 15.8% of the EU market share. While this is a healthy jump from the 12.6% market share recorded in August 2024 YTD, the pace of transition is still considered a bit slow.
