BYD Launches UK-Wide Approved Repair Network With 138 Repairers

BYD is expanding its aftersales support in the UK with the launch of a new nationwide Approved Repair network, giving owners access to specialist repair centres, genuine parts and technicians trained to work on the automaker’s electric and DM-i vehicles.

The new programme, launched on September 8, 2026, has been established in partnership with Vizion Network, the UK’s largest managed network of vehicle repair centres. It currently includes 138 Approved Repairers across the country.

The move comes as BYD continues to rapidly expand its presence on UK roads and increases the number of customers relying on its growing network of electric and plug-in hybrid models.

Under the new Approved Repair programme, BYD owners can access repair centres equipped with expertise specific to the brand’s vehicles. The network uses genuine BYD parts and technicians trained in the company’s repair procedures.

BYD says the programme is designed to ensure vehicles are repaired consistently to its standards while helping customers get damaged cars back on the road as quickly as possible.

The network covers BYD’s modern electric vehicles as well as its DM-i plug-in hybrid models, which use the company’s hybrid technology.

“Customer confidence extends well beyond the moment a new vehicle is delivered,” said Bono Ge, Country Manager of BYD UK. “Our Approved Repair Network gives BYD owners access to repair specialists who understand our vehicles, our repair processes and the specific requirements of modern electric and DM-i vehicles.”

The new repair network is part of BYD’s broader focus on improving the ownership experience as sales increase.

BYD’s UK aftersales package also includes a six-year or 150,000-kilometre vehicle warranty, maintenance support, genuine spare parts and up to four years of free roadside assistance.

The company has also strengthened its battery warranty coverage in Europe. In January, BYD increased the mileage limit on its battery warranty from 200,000 km to 250,000 km while retaining the eight-year warranty period.

Together with the new Approved Repair network, these measures are intended to provide additional reassurance for owners throughout the life of their vehicles.

For EV buyers, access to trained repair specialists is particularly important as electric vehicles can require different diagnostic procedures and repair expertise compared with conventional gasoline-powered cars.

BYD’s Rapid UK Expansion

The launch of the repair network comes as BYD continues to build its UK retail and service footprint.

In September 2025, the company opened its 100th franchised dealership in the UK, less than 30 months after entering the British market. At the time, BYD said most UK residents were within an average 27-minute drive of one of its showrooms.

The rapid expansion reflects the growing importance of the UK market for BYD as the automaker increases sales of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles.

Adding a nationwide network of approved repair centres is the next step in supporting that growing customer base. With 138 repairers already participating at launch, BYD is seeking to make specialist repair support more accessible to owners across the country.

As BYD’s UK fleet continues to grow, the availability of trained repair technicians and genuine replacement parts could become increasingly important to maintaining customer satisfaction and reducing vehicle downtime.

The new Approved Repair network therefore represents more than an additional service for existing owners. It is also an important part of BYD’s wider effort to establish a long-term presence in the UK automotive market.
