Alpine has unveiled the A110 FUTURE, a striking development mule that offers the first public glimpse of the technology behind the brand’s upcoming third-generation A110.
Making its dynamic debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed from July 9–12, the prototype signals Alpine’s ambition to redefine the electric sports car segment while staying true to the lightweight, driver-focused character that has made the A110 an icon.
The A110 FUTURE will take to Goodwood’s famous hill climb throughout the four-day event, giving enthusiasts an early look at the engineering that will underpin Alpine’s next-generation performance flagship.
Next-Generation A110 Built on a Dedicated EV Platform
The third-generation Alpine A110 is set to become the brand’s first fully electric sports car, riding on the all-new Alpine Performance Platform (APP). Developed specifically for high-performance EVs, the platform has been engineered to preserve the agility and driving dynamics expected from an Alpine while aiming to outperform many of today’s combustion-powered sports cars.
A lightweight aluminum architecture forms the foundation of the new platform, helping deliver the sharp handling and responsiveness synonymous with the Alpine name.
To maintain the ideal balance of a traditional mid-engine sports car, Alpine has positioned two battery packs to achieve a 40:60 front-to-rear weight distribution. The battery system also features advanced 800-volt cell-to-pack technology with high-energy-density cells, helping reduce overall weight while enabling faster charging.
Advanced Powertrain Focused on Performance
Powering the future A110 will be a newly developed rear-mounted dual-motor 3-in-1 e-axle paired with a silicon carbide (SiC) inverter. Alpine says this setup is designed to deliver exceptional torque, rapid power delivery, and highly responsive control.
The performance package is complemented by a fully aluminum suspension system, along with newly integrated braking and steering technologies intended to maximize precision and driver engagement.
Together, these innovations are designed to prove that an electric sports car can offer the emotional driving experience enthusiasts expect without compromise.
Alpine Celebrates Its Heritage at Goodwood
The A110 FUTURE will headline Alpine’s largest-ever presence at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where the brand will also showcase the evolution of the A110 through a display of historic and modern models.
Joining the prototype will be Alpine’s growing electric lineup, including the A290, the company’s best-selling electric hot hatch, and the A390, a 470-horsepower five-seat sport fastback that expands the brand’s performance EV portfolio.
One of the highlights of the event will be the Alpine Moment on Thursday, July 9, featuring a Brand Parade that brings together the A110 FUTURE with landmark A110 models from the company’s history. The celebration will conclude with a demonstration run by the Alpine E20 Formula One car.

Formula One Drivers Join Alpine at the Festival
Beyond its road cars, Alpine will also bring a strong Formula One presence to Goodwood. Drivers Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto will appear alongside Alpine Academy and reserve drivers Nina Gademan, Paul Aron, and Alex Dunne.
Visitors to the Alpine stand can also enjoy racing simulators, daily driver appearances, autograph sessions, and live DJ performances throughout the festival.
A New Era for Alpine Performance
With the A110 FUTURE, Alpine is providing its clearest indication yet of what its electric future will look like. Rather than adapting an existing platform, the company has developed a purpose-built architecture focused on lightweight construction, balanced handling, and high-performance electric technology.
As the third-generation A110 moves closer to production, the Goodwood debut marks an important milestone in Alpine’s transition toward an all-electric performance lineup while preserving the driving character that has defined the brand for decades.
