Electric Mercedes C-Class Debuts Futuristic Cabin With Giant All-Screen Dashboard. All-new Mercedes-Benz Electric C-Class Debuts April 20 With Luxury-Focused Interior and Advanced Tech.

Mercedes-Benz is preparing to unveil the all-new electric C-Class on April 20, 2026, marking a major step forward for one of its most important global nameplates.

For decades, the C-Class has been a benchmark in the premium midsize segment, and the new all-electric version aims to raise expectations again with a stronger focus on driving dynamics, digital technology, comfort, and cabin refinement.

Built on a dedicated EV platform, the new electric C-Class has been designed to deliver a more engaging driving experience while also improving day-to-day usability. Mercedes-Benz says customer feedback played a key role in shaping the car, with particular attention paid to cabin space, comfort, and personalization.

One of the biggest upgrades is inside. Thanks to its purpose-built electric architecture and a standard panoramic glass roof, the electric C-Class offers noticeably more interior room than previous generations. The cabin has been designed as a quieter, more spacious environment that blends luxury materials with immersive digital features.

Mercedes-Benz is emphasizing craftsmanship throughout the interior. Buyers will be able to choose from premium materials, decorative stitching, and a range of trim finishes, including open-pore natural fiber and birch wood options. New Nappa leather with a “Twisted Diamond” pattern and AMG Line seats with moccasin stitching add a more bespoke feel.

A standout feature is the available vegan interior package, making the electric C-Class only the second Mercedes EV to offer a cabin certified by The Vegan Society. The package covers soft-touch surfaces across the seats, headliner, pillars, doors, and carpeting, helping Mercedes strengthen its sustainability credentials in the premium EV space.

Comfort is another major focus. Optional high-end front seats include four-way electro-pneumatic lumbar support, full-surface massage, ventilation, and integration with the available Burmester 4D surround sound system. These features are designed to make longer journeys more relaxing, especially for daily commuters.

On the tech front, Mercedes is offering its latest MBUX Hyperscreen and Superscreen setups. A large trim element visually links the center console and dashboard, creating a clean, modern layout. The optional Hyperscreen uses advanced matrix backlighting with nearly 10 million pixels and multiple brightness zones to improve clarity and create a more immersive digital experience.

Personalization also gets a boost. Ten ambient lighting themes are available, while optional lighting can extend across the dashboard, doors, center console, and panoramic roof. With the SKY CONTROL panoramic roof, 162 illuminated stars can create a starry-sky effect inside the cabin.

Mercedes is also bringing its latest wellness features to the electric C-Class. The optional ENERGIZING COMFORT system combines lighting, massage, sound, and seat movement programs to reduce fatigue and improve comfort during traffic or longer drives.

Thermal efficiency is another area where the electric C-Class promises gains. Mercedes says its newly developed automatic climate control system can heat the cabin twice as fast as combustion-powered models during a 20-minute drive in cold weather, while using roughly half the energy thanks to a multi-source heat pump. The system also manages humidity and cooling more precisely to maintain comfort without over-drying the air.

Cabin quietness should also be a standout. Mercedes has focused heavily on noise reduction through extensive sound insulation, laminated front glass, optimized aerodynamics, elastomer suspension mounts, and a quieter HVAC system. The result should be a more refined and serene driving experience that matches the expectations of luxury EV buyers.

With its official debut just days away, the 2026 Mercedes-Benz electric C-Class is shaping up to be a serious contender in the premium electric sedan segment. By combining traditional Mercedes comfort with EV-specific packaging and next-generation tech, it could become one of the most compelling luxury EV launches of the year.
