Leapmotor Leads EV Startups in 2026 as Deliveries Surge and New Models Launch

Leapmotor has reinforced its position as the leading EV startup brand heading into 2026, building on a strong performance throughout 2025 and continuing its upward trajectory in the first quarter of the year.

The Chinese EV maker posted solid delivery figures in March 2026, with 50,029 vehicles delivered across domestic and export markets. This represents a 34.87% year-over-year increase, highlighting sustained demand across its growing lineup.

For the first quarter of 2026, total deliveries reached 110,155 units, marking a 25.82% increase compared to the same period in 2025. These results secured Leapmotor’s position as the top-performing new energy vehicle (NEV) startup for both March and the full quarter.

A key driver behind this growth is the brand’s full ABCD product portfolio, which continues to expand its reach across multiple EV segments.

New Models to Drive Future Growth

Looking ahead, Leapmotor is accelerating its product rollout strategy to maintain momentum in an increasingly competitive EV market.

The brand’s upcoming flagship SUV, the D19, is scheduled for an official unveiling on April 16. Shortly after, at the Beijing Auto Show on April 24, Leapmotor will debut the Ultra version of the Lafa 5 electric hatchback—also known globally as the B05.

This new variant stands out as a rear-wheel-drive compact EV developed in collaboration with Stellantis’ European engineering team, signaling a continued push toward global competitiveness and advanced engineering standards.

Aggressive Expansion Strategy for 2026

Leapmotor’s roadmap for 2026 includes the launch of four new models: A10, D19, A05, and D99. Together, these vehicles are expected to account for approximately 60% of the company’s total annual sales—underscoring the importance of fresh product offerings in driving growth.

The rollout also includes the market introduction of the A10 compact SUV (globally referred to as the B03X), further expanding the brand’s presence in high-demand segments.

Strengthening Position in the Global EV Market

With strong delivery growth, a diversified product lineup, and a steady stream of new model launches, Leapmotor is positioning itself as a key player in the global smart EV market.

By combining affordability with advanced technology and strategic international collaboration, the company continues to build its reputation as a competitive and accessible electric vehicle brand in 2026 and beyond.
