Leapmotor Reaches One Million Vehicle Production Milestone, Delivers Record 66,657 NEVs in September

The Stellantis-backed vehicle maker Leapmotor officially announced that its 1 million vehicles would roll off the production line, marking that it became the second new force car manufacturer in China to enter the “Million Club”.

The most breakthrough significance of the achievement of this million offline is its amazing “acceleration”. From the 500,000th to the 1 million, Leapmotor took only 343 days, setting a record for the fastest record for China’s new power car companies to achieve one million output.

Leapmotor continued its strong sales momentum in September, delivering 66,657 vehicles. This marked the company’s fifth consecutive month of record-breaking deliveries. The robust performance culminated in a record-setting third quarter, where Leapmotor delivered 173,852 vehicles. This represents significant growth, soaring 101.77% year-over-year and up 29.63% from the second quarter.

This speed fully demonstrates the explosive growth of Leapmotor’s systematization capabilities, scale effect and market recognition, and it shows that Leapmotor has successfully passed through the start-up period and steadily entered a new stage of large-scale and high-quality development.

Behind the “million acceleration” is the solid moat built by Leapmotor’s “global self-research” strategy and the concept of “inclusive science and technology”. The success of this phenomenon, which is summarized by the outside world as the “Leap phenomenon”.

From January to August 2025, the cumulative delivery volume of Leapmotor exceeded 320,000 units, continuing to lead the sales list of China’s new power brands, and the monthly sales volume has been at the top of the list of new forces for six consecutive months. At the same time, Leapmotor will be shortlisted for the Fortune China 500, China’s Top 500 Private Enterprises, and China’s Top 500 Manufacturing Enterprises in 2025. The Grand Slam-style recognition, from technology research and development, market performance to operation and management, confirms its comprehensive strength as a mature large enterprise in an all-round way.

Leapmotor’s road to millions is a clear high-quality development path of “strengthening the foundation first and then accelerating”. This acceleration, which far exceeds industry expectations, proves that Leapmotor has built an excellent and efficient collaboration system in technology research and development, product matrix, market development, service network and brand building.

Zhu Jiangming, founder, chairman and CEO of Leapmotor, said at the off-line ceremony: “It took us five years to achieve the roll-off from the first Leapmotor S01 to the 500,000th Leapmotor car. In less than a year, we completed the roll-off from 500,000 to 1 million units, which shows that the acceleration of Leapmotor’s development has become faster and faster. We hope that in the coming year, we can also witness the next 1 million Leapmotor rolling off the assembly line here.”

Focusing on user value, Leapmotor has laid out four major product series of ABCD, forming a diversified product matrix including cars, SUVs, and MPVs, and the main models continue to lead the market segment with leapfrog product strength, forming a strong “explosive effect”: The global delivery volume of the C10 exceeded 160,000 units in the 17 months since its launch in May this year, and since the launch of the 2026 C10 in May this year, it has won the sales championship of mid-size SUVs of new power brands for four consecutive months; The C16 is positioned as an ultra-comfortable and intelligent long-range SUV, and together with the C10, it won the top two in the net recommendation value (NPS) of the new energy SUV list.

The B10 was launched in April this year, and the next month it was delivered more than 10,000 units, with cumulative sales of more than 60,000 units.

In September, Leapmotor’s new personalized strategy new product Lafa5 (B05 commercial name global) made its debut at the Munich Motor Show in Germany. Combining ultra-high appearance, European-style driving control, flagship intelligence, and leapfrog quality, Lafa5 has become the first choice for urban trendy youth travel. Lafa5 is scheduled to be launched in China in the fourth quarter of 2025 and launched globally in 2026 under the commercial name as B05, with its high-performance Ultra version also expected to be released in China in the first half of 2026.
