Citroen Ami 100% electric voted ‘Best for Eco City Travel’ in Marie Claire Sustainability Awards 2022

Citroen Ami 100% electric has won the ‘Best for Eco City Travel’ category in the Marie Claire UK Sustainability Awards 2022.  Arriving in the UK later this summer, Ami 100% electric produces zero emissions when in use, making it a perfect mode of transport for getting around cities and urban areas.

The Marie Claire Sustainability Awards exist to celebrate the products, brands and organisations that are actively implementing sustainable and ethical changes within their respective industries. The awards include a wide variety of categories, including fashion, beauty, food & drink, health & wellness, travel & leisure, and motors, with a judging panel made up of the expert team at Marie Claire and over 50 sustainability experts, plus business founders and activists from across relevant businesses.

Citroen Ami 100% electric is a modern mobility solution and a sustainable response to the environmental challenges faced within many UK cities. Ami 100% electric emits zero emissions and has a 5.5kWh battery that can be fully charged in just three hours. All versions feature a 6kW electric motor, allowing each Ami model to reach a top speed of 27.9mph, with a range of up to 46 miles. With Ami 100% electric and the rest of its electrified vehicle range, Citroen aims to provide affordable and clean mobility solutions for all, as encapsulated in the brand philosophy – ‘Power to the People’.

Citroen UK’s Managing Director, Eurig Druce, said: “It’s fantastic that Marie Claire UK, and its panel of sustainability experts, have recognised Ami 100% electric as ‘Best for Eco City Travel’. Ami 100% electric showcases Citroen’s continued commitment to bringing affordable electric mobility and clever design to UK roads, in a fun and unique way. I’m personally very excited to see the Ami 100% electric on UK city streets and overwhelmed by the response towards it from the public and industry experts.”

Customers in the UK will also be able to purchase the commercial vehicle variant, named My Ami Cargo. With a payload of up to 140kg, a maximum load capacity of 400-litres and a tight 7.20m turning circle, My Ami Cargo is designed for businesses working in urban and city areas. My Ami Cargo will launch in the UK at the same time as Ami 100% electric, joining Citroen’s existing all-electric e-LCV line-up – e-Berlingo Van, e-Dispatch (mid-size van) and e-Relay (large van).

Thanks to Citroen UK’s ‘Fair Pricing’ policy, buyers are able to pick up an Ami 100% electric for just £19.99 per month on Personal Contract Purchase (PCP), over 24 months, with a customer deposit of just £2,369, plus an optional final payment to purchase the vehicle at the end of the contract.
