Li Auto delivers more plug-in cars than Nio and Xpeng in July

Chinese electric vehicle maker Li Auto posted a record month for deliveries in July. Li Auto deliveries surpassed those of Nio in July, and exceeded those of rival start-up Xpeng for a second straight month.

Nasdaq-listed Li Auto delivered 8,589 Li ONE plug-in hybrid SUVs in July, crossing the 8,000-vehicle milestone for the first time while hitting a new record. June was the previous delivery record, with 7,713 vehicles delivered.

As of July 31, 2021, total deliveries in 2021 reached 38,743, bringing cumulative deliveries of Li ONE to 72,340 since its market debut.

The Li ONE SUV is the company’s only model on the market. The car comes with a fuel tank for charging the battery, extending the 180-kilometer (124-mile) driving range by about 700 km (435 miles).

“Driven by outstanding product features and performance, the 2021 Li ONE set an all-time high in monthly deliveries once again. By the end of this year, we will launch a series of major OTA upgrades to elevate our product offering to new heights,” said Yanan Shen, co-founder and president of Li Auto.

Li Auto is accelerating the expansion of its direct sales and servicing network. As of July 31, 2021, the vompany had 109 retail stores in 67 cities, as well as 176 servicing centers and Li Auto-authorized body and paint shops operating in 134 cities, making its Li ONE more accessible to users nationwide.
