CUPRA is expanding its all-electric Tavascan lineup for 2026 with a new entry-level trim, a smaller 58kWh battery option, additional technology and price reductions on selected versions.
The updated range gives buyers more choice across five trim levels and three powertrain options, while making the electric SUV coupe more accessible with a starting price of £39,995 in the UK.
New 58kWh Battery Expands the Tavascan Range
The biggest addition for 2026 is a new 58kWh battery paired with a 190PS electric powertrain. It is available on the new Origin trim as well as V1 and V2 versions.
The new powertrain sits below CUPRA’s existing 77kWh options, which produce 286PS and 340PS depending on specification.
The expanded lineup now consists of five trims: Origin, V1, V2, VZ and VZ Extreme.
This broader range gives customers the option to prioritize affordability, equipment, driving performance or battery capacity.
New CUPRA Tavascan Origin Starts at £39,995
The new Tavascan Origin becomes the entry point to the range, with prices starting at £39,995 on the road.
Despite being the base model, the Origin comes with a strong level of standard equipment. Highlights include 19-inch Vulcano alloy wheels, heated front seats, a 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit and a 15-inch central infotainment screen.
The combination of CUPRA’s distinctive exterior styling and standard technology makes the Origin an important addition as the company looks to attract more buyers to its electric SUV coupe.
More Technology Across the 2026 Tavascan Range
CUPRA is also adding or expanding several technology features throughout the 2026 Tavascan lineup.
A Mobile Device Key is available from the V1 trim, allowing a compatible smartphone to be used as a vehicle key. V1 models also introduce Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, allowing the Tavascan’s battery to supply power to compatible electrical devices.
Higher trims add more performance and comfort-focused equipment. The VZ introduces Launch Control, while the V2 and above can be equipped with a Sennheiser Contrabass sound system.
Across the range, the Tavascan continues to feature a 10.25-inch digital instrument display, Android-powered infotainment and intelligent climate control, with the exact equipment depending on trim level.
CUPRA Tavascan Prices Reduced by Up to £1,600
CUPRA has also revised pricing on selected Tavascan models.
From July 1, the Tavascan V1 equipped with the 77kWh 286PS powertrain is priced at £45,750, representing a £1,600 reduction.
The higher-performance models have also received price cuts. The Tavascan VZ is now priced at £54,930, following a £1,060 reduction, while the range-topping VZ Extreme costs £59,830, a reduction of £1,005.
The combination of the new entry-level version and lower prices on selected models gives the Tavascan a broader range of price points for UK buyers.
2026 CUPRA Tavascan Offers More Choice
The 2026 CUPRA Tavascan lineup is becoming more competitive as the electric SUV market continues to expand.
The new 58kWh, 190PS powertrain gives buyers a more affordable route into CUPRA’s electric SUV coupe, while the existing 77kWh versions continue to offer higher power and greater battery capacity.
With five trims, three powertrain choices, new technology and price reductions of up to £1,600, the updated Tavascan range gives CUPRA a stronger proposition in the increasingly crowded electric SUV market.
The Tavascan retains the bold styling and performance-focused character associated with the CUPRA brand, but the expanded 2026 lineup makes it easier for more buyers to find a version that fits their budget and requirements.
