Skoda UK has delivered its strongest first half on record, achieving new milestones in sales, market share and customer demand during the opening six months of 2026.
Building on the momentum of a successful 2025, the Czech automaker recorded growth across both retail and fleet channels, with its expanding electric vehicle lineup playing a major role in the brand’s continued success.
Between January and June 2026, Skoda registered 46,508 new vehicles in the UK, marking the highest first-half sales total in the company’s history. The brand also reported record order volumes, highlighting sustained customer demand across its model range, while True Fleet orders reached their highest level ever for the same period.
The strong performance helped Skoda secure a 4.3% market share in June, the highest monthly figure the brand has ever achieved in the UK. Across the first six months of the year, market share reached 4.1%, narrowly below the record 4.2% established during H1 2025.
Growth was recorded across every major sales channel. In the retail market, Skoda achieved its highest-ever year-to-date market share of 3.4%, demonstrating continued appeal among private buyers. Fleet demand remained equally strong, with the brand ranking fifth overall for True Fleet registrations while holding ninth place in overall UK market share.
Electric vehicles have been a key driver behind the brand’s momentum. In the UK, the Enyaq family, including the Coupe variant, was Skoda’s best-selling model during the first half of the year with 8,529 registrations. The Kodiaq followed with 7,227 units, while the all-electric Elroq secured third place with 6,902 registrations, underlining the growing demand for the brand’s latest EV offerings.
Skoda’s success in Britain mirrors its broader performance across Europe. During the first quarter of 2026, Skoda Auto delivered 222,500 vehicles across the EU27+4 region, representing a 17.1% year-over-year increase. The result elevated the manufacturer to become Europe’s second best-selling car brand for the first time.
The company’s expanding electric portfolio has been instrumental in that achievement. The all-electric Elroq ranked as the second best-selling EV in Europe during Q1 2026, while the Enyaq family claimed fifth place, reinforcing Skoda’s growing position in the European electric vehicle market.
With record sales, increasing market share and strong demand for both retail and fleet customers, Skoda has started 2026 with significant momentum. The continued success of the Enyaq and the rapid rise of the Elroq suggest the brand’s electric vehicle strategy is becoming an increasingly important contributor to its growth in both the UK and across Europe.
