2027 Subaru Trailseeker Priced From $39,995, Delivers Up to 281 Miles of Range

Subaru has announced pricing and full details for the 2027 Subaru Trailseeker, its newest all-electric SUV for the U.S. market. Starting at $39,995 MSRP, the rugged EV retains the same starting price as the outgoing model while offering impressive performance, generous cargo capacity, standard all-wheel drive, and up to 281 miles of EPA-estimated range.

Available in Premium, Limited, and Touring trims, the Trailseeker is designed for buyers seeking an electric SUV that blends everyday practicality with genuine off-road capability.

Performance: The Quickest Subaru Ever Sold in the U.S.

The 2027 Trailseeker is powered by a 74.7-kWh lithium-ion battery paired with dual electric motors producing a combined 375 horsepower. That output enables a 0-60 mph sprint in just 4.3 seconds, making it the fastest production Subaru ever offered in the U.S.

Every Trailseeker comes standard with Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, which has been specifically re-engineered for the electric powertrain. The system continuously adjusts torque distribution between the front and rear axles, as well as side-to-side, while integrating regenerative braking for improved grip and stability on varying road surfaces.

The SUV also features:

– 8.5 inches of ground clearance
– X-MODE Dual-Mode with Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud settings
– Grip Control
– Downhill Assist Control

Together, these features reinforce the Trailseeker’s focus on adventure beyond paved roads.

Up to 281 Miles of Range and NACS Charging

The Trailseeker Premium delivers an estimated 281 miles of driving range, while the Limited and Touring trims offer approximately 274 miles.

Charging capabilities have also been upgraded. Every model includes a North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, providing access to more than 25,000 compatible fast chargers across North America.

Using a DC fast charger capable of delivering up to 150 kW, the battery can recharge from 10% to 80% in around 28 minutes.

To improve charging performance in winter conditions, Subaru has equipped the SUV with battery preconditioning. Drivers can activate the feature manually through the touchscreen or automatically by setting a charging station as the navigation destination, allowing efficient charging even in temperatures as low as 14°F (-10°C).

Bigger Than the Solterra

The Trailseeker expands Subaru’s electric lineup by offering noticeably more interior space than the Solterra.

Compared with its electric sibling, the Trailseeker is:

– More than 6 inches longer
– Nearly 1 inch taller
– More spacious for passengers
– Equipped with a larger cargo area

The SUV provides 31.3 cubic feet of rear cargo space, enough to accommodate four large suitcases. Standard roof rails support a 700-pound static load, while towing capacity reaches 3,500 pounds, making the Trailseeker suitable for camping gear, trailers, and outdoor equipment.

Modern Cabin with Large 14-Inch Display

Inside, the Trailseeker features Subaru’s largest infotainment display yet—a 14-inch touchscreen with standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

The interior emphasizes practicality with a spacious center console, dual wireless smartphone charging pads, premium materials, and metallic trim accents.

StarTex upholstery comes standard across the lineup, while Touring models offer available leather seating along with several premium upgrades.
