2027 Nissan Juke EV Debuts as Bold New Electric Crossover for Europe

Nissan has revealed the all-new all-electric Nissan Juke EV, marking a major milestone in the brand’s accelerating push toward full electrification in Europe.

Unveiled during the Nissan Vision Event, the new Juke EV brings one of Nissan’s most recognizable nameplates into the zero-emission era. The model is scheduled to launch in spring 2027 and will play a central role in Nissan’s broader strategy to offer electrified options across multiple segments.

A Familiar Nameplate Goes Fully Electric

Since its European debut in 2010, the Nissan Juke has stood out for its bold styling and distinctive character, helping define the compact crossover category. With more than 1.5 million units sold across Europe, the Juke has become one of Nissan’s most successful models in the region.

The new third-generation Juke stays true to that spirit while embracing a fully electric powertrain. Nissan says the model is designed to retain the agility, personality and urban-friendly appeal that made the original popular, while meeting the growing demand for cleaner mobility.

Key Piece of Nissan’s Expanding EV Lineup

The electric Juke joins a rapidly growing European EV portfolio that includes the new Nissan Micra EV, third-generation Nissan Leaf, Nissan Ariya and Nissan Townstar. Nissan also confirmed that an additional A-segment EV is on the way.

A standout feature of the new Juke EV will be Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) capability, which will also be offered on the next-generation Leaf. This technology allows EVs to send electricity back to the grid, helping support energy balancing and smarter home charging solutions.

While Nissan is clearly focused on battery-electric vehicles, the company is maintaining a flexible approach during the transition. Its e-POWER hybrid system will remain an important part of the lineup, with models like the Nissan Qashqai e-POWER and Nissan Juke Hybrid continuing to serve buyers who want an electrified driving experience without charging.

Built in the UK for European Buyers

The all-electric Juke will be produced at Nissan’s Sunderland Plant in the UK, reinforcing the factory’s role as a cornerstone of the company’s European EV manufacturing strategy.

Nissan Sunderland Plant already builds the Leaf and is preparing for the Juke EV’s production trial phase in the coming weeks. The site remains central to Nissan’s plan to strengthen regional production and reduce emissions across its supply chain.

Nissan also highlighted its broader European engineering and development footprint, with operations spanning the UK, Spain and Germany. This regional network is expected to support the Juke EV’s development, production and long-term innovation roadmap.

A Major Step Toward Nissan’s Electric Future

The new electric Juke signals Nissan’s commitment to maintaining strong momentum in Europe’s increasingly competitive EV market. By electrifying one of its most iconic crossovers, Nissan is aiming to attract both loyal customers and a new wave of EV buyers.

With its bold design heritage, practical crossover appeal and advanced energy tech, the all-electric Juke could become a key player in Europe’s next wave of compact electric SUVs when it arrives in 2027.
