New CUPRA Born Teased Ahead of March 5 World Premiere

CUPRA is sharpening its electric edge once again. The Spanish automaker has released the first teaser of the new CUPRA Born, its fully electric hatchback, promising a more emotional design, upgraded interior quality and enhanced technology.

The refreshed Born will make its global debut on March 5 at 10:00am CET, with European customers firmly in focus as CUPRA continues its rapid EV expansion.

CUPRA Born was the brand’s first 100% electric vehicle — and it marked a turning point for CUPRA’s electrification strategy. Now, the updated model aims to push that identity even further.

According to the brand, the new Born has been re-engineered to deliver:

  • A sharper, more expressive exterior
  • A more refined and premium cabin
  • Expanded digital and connectivity features
  • An even stronger emotional driving experience

While technical specifications will be revealed at the world premiere, expectations are high for efficiency improvements and technology upgrades tailored to European EV buyers.

CUPRA’s Rapid Growth in Europe

Since its launch in 2018, CUPRA has quickly evolved from a performance sub-brand into a standalone force within the European automotive landscape. In just seven years, the company has introduced seven models and delivered more than one million vehicles globally.

Looking ahead, the brand will expand further into the urban EV segment with the CUPRA Raval, set to join the lineup in 2026.

Electrification With Emotion

For EU buyers navigating tightening emissions rules and expanding low-emission zones, the Born represents more than compliance — it reflects CUPRA’s design-led approach to electric mobility.

Beyond road cars, the brand also competes in Formula E, reinforcing its performance-focused EV credentials.

The updated CUPRA Born will be key to maintaining momentum in Europe’s highly competitive compact electric hatchback segment, where design, digital experience and driving character increasingly matter as much as range and charging speed.

Full technical details and European market specifications will be revealed at the March 5 world premiere.
