Lucid Ends 2025 Strong After Doubling Electric Vehicle Output

Lucid Motors significantly ramped up electric vehicle production in 2025, building more than twice as many EVs as it did the previous year—a clear sign the company is recovering from early manufacturing challenges tied to its new Gravity SUV.

On a full year basis in 2025, the company produced 18,378 vehicles, up 104% compared to full year 2024, and delivered 15,841 vehicles, up 55% compared to full year 2024.

During Q4 2025, Lucid produced 8,412 vehicles, up 116% compared to Q3 2025, and delivered 5,345 vehicles, up 31% compared to Q3 2025. That final quarter output surpassed the total number of vehicles Lucid produced at its Casa Grande, Arizona factory during the entire first half of the year.

This late-year momentum positions Lucid for a pivotal year ahead. In 2026, the company plans to begin production of the first vehicle based on its new mid-sized EV platform. Expected to be priced around $50,000, the model will compete directly with popular offerings like the Tesla Model Y and Rivian’s upcoming R2 SUV.

Despite the progress, Lucid’s current production figures remain far below the ambitious projections it made when it went public via a $4 billion reverse merger in 2021. At the time, the company forecasted 135,000 vehicle deliveries in 2025, including 86,000 Gravity SUVs, 42,000 Air sedans, and 7,000 vehicles from its then-unannounced mid-size platform.

Those goals quickly proved unrealistic as Lucid encountered production bottlenecks, supply chain disruptions, and softer-than-expected demand—challenges compounded by a global automotive market still reeling from the pandemic. The company faced particular difficulties in early 2025 while ramping up Gravity SUV production.

While Lucid still has ground to cover, its stronger finish to 2025 suggests the company may finally be finding its footing.
