Cadillac OPTIQ goes on sale in Europe

Cadillac OPTIQ, the brand’s newest electric SUV is now available to order across Europe.

The Cadillac OPTIQ is heading to Europe, promising dynamic performance, intuitive technology and bold, distinctive design in a luxury electric SUV. Perfectly sized for Europe, OPTIQ’s athletic design combines the sleek, coupe-like silhouette of a performance vehicle with the bold presence of a Cadillac crossover EV – offering dynamic style and capability without sacrificing interior or cargo space.

Created to elevate every drive, the dynamic OPTIQ has the nimble agility to tackle city streets or winding European roads with an innovative, progressive interior that delivers refined luxury wherever the journey takes you.

The launch of OPTIQ in Europe aligns with surging demand for compact luxury EVs in the region, as an increasing number of customers are drawn to the space and versatility that defines the SUV segment.

OPTIQ joins the expanding Cadillac EV lineup in Europe, which includes LYRIQ, LYRIQ-V and VISTIQ. From urban drivers to families, young couples and performance enthusiasts, the expanding range offers choice and versatility to match every lifestyle. Set to be available in early 2026 in France, Germany, Sweden, and Switzerland in Europe, OPTIQ will be offered in two distinctive trims – Premium Luxury and Premium Sport.

Spirited and agile performance

With standard dual-motor all-wheel drive and a 75-kWh battery, OPTIQ delivers peak horsepower of 304 hp and 480 Nm of peak torque for instant acceleration, achieving 0–100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds in Sport Mode and a top speed of 184 km/h. A full charge delivers up to 425 km of range (WLTP), blending thrilling performance with everyday practicality.

A vented rear spoiler, diffuser and other carefully crafted aero elements enhance efficiency without compromising the SUV’s bold, striking design.

Other OPTIQ features include:

– Regen On Demand, a driver-controlled braking function that allows the driver to slow down or stop the OPTIQ with a dedicated, pressure-sensitive paddle located on the steering wheel.
– One-Pedal Driving allows the driver to slow down and stop the vehicle using only the accelerator under most driving conditions. The system also converts kinetic energy from OPTIQ’s forward momentum into electricity, which is stored in the battery pack for future use.
– DC Fast Charging allows OPTIQ to add 144 km of all-electric range in 15 minutes of charging at public DC fast charging stations.
– OPTIQ gives drivers the opportunity to switch between several Drive Modes: Tour for everyday driving; Sport for enhanced road driving and improved steering; Snow/Ice to maximize traction in low group conditions, and My Mode for a personalized driving experience with adjustable braking responsiveness and steering feel.
– 21” alloy wheels as standard with 275/40 R21 summer tires. The OPTIQ Premium Luxury specification includes Pearl Nickel painted alloy wheels with aero inserts, while the OPTIQ Premium Sport features Dark Android painted alloys.
– Brembo performance front brakes as standard, equipping OPTIQ for the driving demands of Europe with its mountain passes and Autobahns. Brembo 508 mm front Fixed Caliper Discs and rear 432 mm Sliding Caliper Discs provide smooth, assured stopping power.

Unique design detailing

OPTIQ embodies a sporty and youthful persona – its bold silhouette balancing agility with distinctive Cadillac crossover EV styling. Ambitiously proportioned wheels and tires emphasize the athletic character of the vehicle.

Unique exterior design details include:

– Roof encompassing glasswork: The panoramic fixed-glass roof enables a seamless transition from glass to sheet metal.
– Black crystal grille: OPTIQ’s signature black crystal grille incorporates Cadillac’s vertical lighting and includes a laser-etched pattern that offers an understated, high-tech feel.
– Rear-quarter panel: OPTIQ’s rear quarter panel window design is achieved through a Cadillac-first precision pattern in acoustic laminate glass. The graphic design is found throughout OPTIQ and aligns with the Mondrian crest in a nod to classic Cadillac styling.

A more sustainable and immersive choice

Sustainable by design, OPTIQ utilizes innovative, progressive materials that blend sustainability with luxury, creating a sophisticated cabin. OPTIQ’s interior draws upon refined European design cues paired with forward-thinking material choices and applications to create this warm and desirable environment.

The center console features veneer crafted from PaperWood, a material made from equal parts tulip wood and recycled newspaper. If you look closely, you can see the newsprint letters in the white areas of the veneer grain, making the trim piece entirely unique to each vehicle. The PaperWood veneer is complemented by Tide, a soft, sustainable polyester fabric woven from yarn made from 100 percent recycled materials, which is used for OPTIQ’s patterned accent fabric.

The OPTIQ interior highlights include:

– Premium AKG Studio 19-speaker audio system with Dolby Atmos delivers a multidimensional sound experience with exceptional depth, clarity and detail.
– Space and light as standard with a generous passenger capacity and over 500 liters of cargo space, and a standard panoramic glass roof.
– 33-inch diagonal curved LED display with 9K resolution, projecting over one billion colors – it’s currently the largest on offer in the segment.
– Super Cruise driver assistance technology capable, demonstrating Cadillac’s commitment to future hands-free driver assistance technologies within the European market.
– Advanced radar, camera and ultrasonic sensor technology enhances visibility and awareness, sensing, and monitoring surroundings in a variety of everyday driving scenarios.
