Entire Vauxhall Electric Range Eligible For Government Electric Car Grant. All Vauxhall electric cars qualify for £1,500 grant.

Vauxhall’s entire electric car range has received official confirmation of eligibility for the UK government’s Electric Car Grant (ECG), saving customers £1,500 off the list price.

The announcement means customers can save £1,500 on electric versions of Corsa, Mokka, Frontera, Astra, Astra Sports Tourer, Grandland and Combo Life Electric  This is in addition to other current offers, including 0% PCP finance across most models alongside a manufacturer deposit contribution of up to an additional £1,500.

The ‘Electric All In’ package remains, adding another £500 towards a home EV charger or public charging.

The 0% PCP finance is available on the electric versions of Corsa, Mokka, Frontera (44kWh), Astra and Astra Sports Tourer across all core trim levels (excluding special editions). It is available to retail buyers and requires a 20% customer deposit with payments spread across 48 months. Vauxhall will offer a deposit contribution of £1,500 on Corsa Electric and Mokka Electric, and £500 towards Astra Electric and Astra Sports Tourer Electric – these are all on the 0% APR offer.

The ‘Electric All In’ package adds a further £500 towards the cost of a Ohme home wallbox, or £500 towards public charging credit, as well as 10,000 miles of free home charging when switching to Intelligent Octopus GO.

Steve Catlin, Managing Director, Vauxhall:
“Vauxhall has been committed to electrifying Britain for years and offers some of the most popular electric cars on UK roads. We welcome the support of the Electric Car Grant for every electric model in the Vauxhall line-up – including those manufactured here at our Ellesmere Port plant – and hope this will enable more British motorists to enjoy the benefits of switching to electric.”

The introduction of the ECG means that Vauxhall’s most affordable EV, the new Frontera Electric family SUV, starts from just £22,495 OTR. The Frontera was the first car in the UK market to achieve list price parity between electric and petrol-hybrid versions, with customers now able to choose a Frontera Electric Design (44kWh) for £1,760 less than the equivalent petrol-hybrid model (after the ECG).

Vauxhall has already introduced several special edition models to make going electric more accessible while offering a high level of specification. The 2025 Corsa Electric YES Edition 136PS (50kWh) offers premium features including heated front seats, a heated vegan leather steering wheel and 16-inch diamond-cut alloys, and is now even more affordable with prices starting from £26,005 OTR after the ECG.

Among the other special edition models available, the Mokka Electric Griffin starts from £31,005 OTR after the ECG, while the Astra Electric Griffin and Astra Sports Electric Griffin now start from £33,505 and £34,705 OTR respectively (including the ECG).

Vauxhall’s top-of-the-range SUV, the Grandland Electric, also qualifies for the £1,500 grant, lowering the starting price to £35,455 OTR. It features a 73kWh battery, a 213hp motor with 345Nm of torque and energy-saving features such as a standard-fit heat pump, enabling a range of up to 325 miles (WLTP) on a single charge.

Vauxhall is committed to electrifying Britain, with a fully electric version of every model in its line-up. It is also one of the few brands to manufacture vehicles in the UK at Ellesmere Port – the UK’s first EV-only volume manufacturing plant. Through its Electric Streets campaign, Vauxhall is working to increase the number of on-street charging points to support the 40% of UK households without a driveway – ensuring no one gets left behind in the transition to electric mobility.
