New entry-level Mercedes-Benz EV concept to be unveiled at IAA Mobility

Mercedes-Benz will showcase a future of its entry-level models with a new EV concept car at this year’s IAA Mobility in early September. The concept is expected to preview a follow-up to the new CLA, which is scheduled for release in 2025.

Currently, specific details about the concept remain confidential, but it is speculated that the entry luxury production model will utilize the versatile MMA (Mercedes Modular Architecture) platform. Although Mercedes primarily designed and optimized this platform for electric powertrains, it can also support internal combustion engines, ensuring adaptability as the company moves towards full electrification in the future.

Also on display as show premieres are the new EQA, EQB and EQV. Plus, visitors will have the chance to see two vehicles representing the extremes of the company’s vision for an all-electric future: the VISION EQXX technology program stands for the future of efficiency, while the recently unveiled Vision One-Eleven super sports car represents the future of performance, progressively reinterpreting 1970s brand icon, the C 111.

For an all-electric future, charging is an essential part of driving. That’s why Mercedes-Benz aims to provide its customers with a best-in-class charging experience. Therefore, visitors at the IAA Mobility can also immerse in the benefits of driving electric vehicles and experience the Mercedes-Benz charging ecosystem with the latest public and home charging solutions.

As part of its Electric First strategy, Mercedes-Benz has committed to offering an electric vehicle in every market segment by 2025.

The automaker already has six all-electric models, including the EQS sedan, EQS SUV, EQB, EQA, EQE Sedan and EQE SUV.
