Global premier of the Electric Mustang by Charge Cars at Salon Privé London

The production intent version of the Electric Mustang by Charge Cars will make its global premier at the inaugural Salon Privé London, Royal Hospital Chelsea – 21-23 April, with customers able to order the EV at the exclusive new luxury car event.

A hand-built, zero emissions design icon, the brand new Electric Mustang uses cutting edge technology to redefine the revered 1967 Fastback model. With a new steel bodyshell, complete with the blessing of Ford, and composite body panels to minimise weight the car’s quad-motor configuration provides 536 bhp and a 0-62mph time of just 3.9 seconds.

The production intent version of the Electric Mustang by Charge Cars is the culmination of six years’ work for the London based company. Originally shown as a prototype in 2019, Salon Privé London offers the first public opportunity to see the finished car and understand the bespoke options available when ordering.

“The Electric Mustang has already captured people’s imagination, but this will be the first chance to see how it can be personalised to each buyer’s preference,” said Director David Bagley. “We’re delighted that Charge Cars will be using Salon Privé London to allow its clients to get under the Mustang’s skin and understand what makes this limited edition EV so accomplished.”

Charge Cars is a British EV company based in London, with a team highly experienced in the development of luxury and high performance vehicles. The car’s EV technology is powered by partner Arrival’s proprietary software and hardware technologies, allowing the perfect fusion of iconic design with cutting edge innovation.

The officially licensed shells preserve the classic design and styling of the legendary Ford Mustang, but the use of lightweight composite body panels significantly decreases the overall weight of the vehicle giving greater performance and efficiency, making the car suitable as a daily driver.

With a range of 200 miles, the Electric Mustang uses a 64kWh modular battery and up to 50kW of rapid charging is possible. In addition to 536 bhp, 1,500Nm of torque ensures that its muscle car status remains secure while the quad-motor setup optimised dynamic aids include all-wheel-drive and torque vectoring.

In addition to having the first complete Electric Mustang at Salon Privé London, Charge Cars will have its physical interior vehicle display, allowing the cabin to be explored and different options discussed, alongside its immersive VR experience. Completely redesigning the vehicle interior, using the finest materials available, Charge Cars has created in an ultra-modern environment that’s in sync with the vehicle’s iconic design. Only 499 brand-new Electric Mustangs are available, and Salon Privé London will allow clients to lose themselves in the detail of the options.

“We truly believe we have created something unique in the EV world. A brand new, hand built design icon that gives our customers a genuine emotional connection with their car. Cutting edge technology, zero emissions but now with heart and soul.” said Mark Roberts, Chief Creative Officer of Charge Cars. “This is just the beginning for us at Charge Cars.”
