EVBox, Bridgestone and TSG Partner to Enhance EV Charging Infrastructure in Europe

Bridgestone is joining forces with EVBox and TSG to install 3,500 charging ports across Bridgestone’s European retail and service network in the next five years.

The installations will take place across Bridgestone’s European retail and service network, including leading brands like Speedy and First Stop.

The five-year project, which is the latest example of Bridgestone’s support for the adoption of sustainable mobility, will begin in France and Italy before expanding into the UK, Germany, Poland, Spain, and other European countries.

Bridgestone’s new charging network will consist of regular and fast charging stations installed at strategic locations accessible to all EV drivers, including private and fleet vehicles. EVBox fast charging stations will be installed on high-demand routes for drivers needing to get back on the road as quickly as possible. EVBox Group’s partner TSG, the European leader in technical services for mobility solutions, will take a leading role in designing, installing and maintaining the EVBox charging infrastructure across Bridgestone’s European retail and service network.

Thanks to the partnership between Bridgestone and EVBox Group, EV drivers and fleets will get access to one of Europe’s largest charging networks through a single solution: a dedicated card or mobile app connected to EVBox charging management software. The charging network will include access to over 130,000 public charging ports and growing. With EVBox charging management software, drivers and account holders can efficiently manage charging sessions, payments, and invoicing through one centralized platform.

With this partnership, Bridgestone’s retail network will also offer EV drivers the opportunity to buy and install residential EV charging stations, strengthening the company’s commitment to improving the accessibility of EVs to a variety of drivers.

“Bridgestone is committed to encouraging the adoption of EVs across Europe, partnering with leading manufacturers to develop premium tires and sustainable technologies that meet the specific requirements of EVs. Building a truly EV-ready retail and service network is critical when it comes to helping drivers make the switch to electric mobility. Through this partnership, we will be supporting the much-needed expansion of Europe’s charging infrastructure, providing EV drivers and fleet operators with the convenience and efficiency they demand. EVBox Group has been leading the EV charging industry since 2010, so establishing this partnership was an easy choice for us,” said Christophe de Valroger (VP Retail Operations at Bridgestone EMIA).

“TSG is delighted to have been selected as a strategic partner of this project, working with Bridgestone and EVBox to further contribute to the deployment of charging infrastructure across Europe and Africa. We are committed to building a more sustainable future for mobility and projects such as this are essential in accelerating EV transition by creating denser charging networks and value added charging services that supports further the rollout of Electric vehicles,” said Jean-Marc Bianchi (TSG Chairman and CEO).

“We’re extremely proud to be working alongside a company that shares our ambitions and willingness to create innovative solutions to a global problem. Bridgestone is a business passionate about shaping a sustainable future of mobility and we’ve seen this come to life through many of its recent announcements and partnerships. This collaboration marks the beginning of a long-term partnership between like-minded industry leaders that will go from strength to strength as electric mobility is adopted across the world,” said Bram Poeth (CCO at EVBox Group).
