All major automakers are posting December sales numbers for plug-in electric vehicles.

 | Nissan LEAF Sales of the all-electric Nissan LEAF totaled 1,347 units, down 56.6% compared to December of 2014 when Nissan sold 3,102 LEAF EV’s. Overall for full year, Nissan LEAF sold 17,269, which was down by 42.8% compared with 2014 when 30,200 were sold. Nissan introduced the 2016 all-electric LEAF with an available 30 kWh battery that provides an EPA-estimated range of 107 miles – a 27-percent increase over the previous 24 kWH battery. |
 | Chevrolet Volt 2016 Chevrolet Volt sold 2,114 in its second month on the market. Overall for the year, 15,393 Chevrolet Volt plug-ins have been sold, which is down by 18% compared to 2014 when 18,805 units were sold. |
 | Toyota Prius Plug-in Prius Plug-in Hybrid sold just 22 units last month. Overall for the year, sales of the Prius Plug-in Hybrid were at 4,191. The next generation Prius PHV will come in the second half of 2016 as a 2017 model car. |
 | Ford C-Max Energi Ford C-MAX Energi sold 579 units in December. Previously in November, Ford sold 639 plug-ins. Overall for the year, sales of the, sales of the Ford C-Max Energi were 7,591. |
 | Ford Fusion Energi Ford Fusion Energi finished last month with 1,058 deliveries, after selling 944 units in November. Overall for the year, sales of the, sales of the Ford Fusion Energi were 9,750. |
 | Cadillac ELR GM sold just 135 Cadillac ELRs last month. Overall for the year, sales of the Cadillac ELR were at 1,024. The Cadillac ELR has a starting price of $75,995, including a $995 destination charge but excluding tax, title, license and dealer fees. |
 | Porsche Panamera S-E Hybrid Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrids finished last month with 16 deliveries. Previously in November, Panamera S E-Hybrid sold 33 units. Overall for the year, sales of the, sales of the Panamera S E-Hybrid were 407. |
 | Porsche Cayenne S e-Hybrid Porsche sold 137 Cayenne S E-Hybrid SUVs last month, after selling 121 units in November. The Cayenne S Hybrid has a lithium-ion traction battery with an energy capacity of 10.8 kWh, which enables an all-electric driving range of 11 to 22 miles, combined fuel consumption is 39 mpg US with 79 g/km of CO2. Overall for the year, sales of the, sales of the Cayenne S E-Hybrid were 1,103. |

 | BMW X5 xDrive40e The BMW X5 xDrive40e sold 607 units, after selling 167 plug-in SUVs in November and 118 in October. With a total system output of 230 kW/313 hp generated by a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder gasoline engine and a synchronous electric motor, the BMW X5 xDrive40e achieves a combined fuel consumption of 69 – 71 mpg. The X5 xDrive is priced from $63,095 including $995 D&H. |
 | Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive finished last month with 97 deliveries, after selling 41 units in November. The B-Class Electric Drive starts from $41,450 and has an all-electric range of 87 miles. For an extra $600, one can purchase the extended range package which allows the driver go 104 miles. Overall for the year, 1,906 B-Class Electric Drive have been sold. |
 | Mercedes-Benz S550 Plug-in Hybrid Mercedes-Benz S550 Plug-in Hybrid sold 35 units last month. The S550 Plug-in Hybrid also sold 21 copies in November, 25 in October, 17 in September, and 10 units in August and in July, its debut month.The Mercedes-Benz S550 Plug-in Hybrid offers a system output of 436 hp and 479 lb-ft torque, sprints from 0 to 62 mph in just 5.2 seconds and can drive up to 20 miles purely electrically. |
 | Volkswagen e-Golf Volkswagen e-Gold sold record 609 units last month, after selling 472 units in November. Overall for the year, 4,232 VW e-Golf EVs have been sold. The all-electric 2015 Volkswagen e-Golf is on sale at participating dealerships in select states. The e-Golf was rated by the EPA at126 city, 105 highway, and 116 combined MPGe and given a range of up to 83 miles. |
 | Kia Soul EV Kia Soul EV sold 96 units last month, after selling 83 units in November. Overall for the year, 1,015 Soul EVs have been sold. Offered in two trims, Base and + (Plus), the 2015 Kia Soul EV MSRP is $33,700 (not including federal tax rebate of $7,500) for the Base trim. Overall for the year, 529 Soul EVs have been sold. |
 | Smart Fortwo Electric Drive Last month, smart fortwo ED sold 179 units last month, after selling 178 units in November. In terms of year-to-date results in 2015, sales of the smart fortwo ED now stand at 1,387. |
 | Fiat 500e For December, Fiat 500e sold 265. Overall for the year, 6,194 Fiat 500e EVs have been sold. The Fiat 500e is priced at $32,500, which includes a $700 destination charge. However, eligible California residents may be able to purchase the Fiat 500e for as low as $20,500, after federal credits. |
 | Chevrolet Spark EV Spark EV sold 152 units, after selling 166 units in November. Overall for the year, 2,629 Chevrolet Spark EVs have been sold. |
 | Ford Focus Electric Deliveries of the Ford Focus Electric were 96 in December. In November and October, Ford sold 93 and 126 Focus Electrics respectively. Overall for the year, sales of the, sales of the Ford Focus Electric were 1,582. |
 | Mitsubishi i Mitsubishi sold 9 i-MiEV electric cars in December. Overall for the year, 115 i-MiEV EVs have been sold. The 2016 Mitsubishi i-MiEV will arrive at Mitsubishi dealers across the United States in late March 2015. With a starting MSRP of only $22,995, the 2016 i-MiEV is the most affordably-priced electric vehicle available in America today, and after factoring in the Federal tax credit of $7,500, the net starting MSRP is reduced to $15,495. |
