For less than £50/month, businesses can lease a POD point charging unit, have it installed professionally and gain immediate access to the Pay-as-you-Go facilities. Charging points normally cost over £1000 + VAT including installation and 3 year warranty.
This innovative business model has its benefits for both business owners and consumers. By installing charging points for the public to use, businesses will not only improve their sustainability credentials, but will attract new customers by having a public POD Point visible on the national charge point map.
This in turn will increase customer loyalty, as the site will be seen as a convenient place to charge. Retailers will benefit hugely from customers charging their cars with them, through increased dwell time and average spend per visit.
