With the upcoming winter timetable, the Mercedes-Benz eCitaro K electric buses will serve the 5.2 kilometre long newly named “Altstadtlinie” (old town line).
Daimler Buses has been awarded the contract by Regionalbus Leipzig GmbH based in Deuben (Leipzig district) for the construction of a new e‑bus depot including the complete charging infrastructure with a total of ten CCS2 charging points at the Zwenkau bus depot south of Leipzig.
The entire charging system, with 28 charging points and a charging capacity of up to 180 kW, was installed by Daimler Buses as general contractor.
