Kia has expanded its UK electric vehicle lineup eligible for the Government’s Electric Car Grant (ECG), adding the highly popular EV3 and introducing a new EV4 ‘Motion’ trim.
The move lowers entry prices across key models and strengthens Kia’s position in the competitive EV market.
Kia EV3 Now Eligible for Electric Car Grant
The Kia EV3 is now available with the UK Government’s Electric Car Grant, reducing prices by £1,500 for both ‘Air’ and ‘GT-Line’ trims.
With the grant applied:

The EV3 lineup currently includes ‘Air’, ‘GT-Line’, and ‘GT-Line S’ trims, with a dual-motor AWD ‘GT’ performance variant expected later in 2026.

The UK Government’s ECG applies only to vehicles meeting strict environmental and sustainability criteria, including compliance with Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) standards for emissions reduction.
Looking ahead, Kia plans to launch 15 fully electric models by 2030 and transition all manufacturing sites to 100% renewable energy by 2040. The brand is also targeting full carbon neutrality across its vehicle lifecycle by 2045.
