All-electric Renault Twingo E-Tech proced from €19,490

Announced at under €20,000 when the show car was unveiled in November 2023, Renault Twingo E-Tech electric is turning this ambition into a reality. The electric city car is redefining the standards of the A-segment in Europe with an entry price of €19,490 for the Evolution version.

In France for 2026, the bonus financed by the Energy Saving Certificates scheme could total €4,770 for low-income households, €4,710 for low-middle income households and €3,620 for other households. This would make Twingo E-Tech electric available from €14,720.

In keeping with Renault’s strategy of delivering high levels of customer value and useful innovations across its range, Twingo E-Tech electric ships as standard from the Evolution level trim with the following: 7” digital cluster, 10” central screen with smartphone replication and a connected multimedia system, cruise control, automatic emergency braking system, lane keeping assist, advanced driver monitoring, automatic parking brake, individually sliding rear seats, height-adjustable driver’s seat, manual air conditioning, rear parking sensors, and a mode 3 charging cable.

The price rises to €21,090 for the Techno version (before government grants). Setting new standards in the A segment, this top-spec version ships as standard with a range of upmarket equipment, including: OpenR Link with Google built-in multimedia system, Reno avatar, adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go, automatic air-conditioning, one-pedal driving, a folding backrest on the front passenger seat and a digital rear view camera.

Twingo E-Tech electric revives the spirit of the first-generation model, respecting its DNA while also giving it a unique, contemporary feel. Its iconic design is instantly recognisable, symbolised by its playful, curvy and expressive lines, cheery face and mischievous gaze. At the same time, it is exceptionally spacious and modular at just 3.79m long, with: five doors, two independent, sliding rear seats as standard on all versions, a folding backrest on the front passenger seat, etc. Interior space is optimised to meet every need (e.g. up to 360 litres of boot space), with a level of versatility never before achieved in this segment.

Built for silent driving with zero exhaust emissions and cutting-edge technology, Twingo E-Tech electric ships with driving aids usually only found further up the market, such as the OpenR Link with Google built-in multimedia system – a first in this segment. The aim is to make electric cars easier to drive and encourage more people to make the switch. The ideally sized LFP battery (up to 263 km WLTP range) works with a lively, lightweight 60 kW (82 hp) motor. It is perfect for driving in and around cities, where the one-pedal function makes light work of roundabouts and day-to-day traffic jams. Even more practical and convenient than before, Twingo E-Tech electric meets the expectations of customers across Europe, while also bringing an optimistic vibe to the city.

Priced at €100, the Twingo R Pass offers early access to order the Twingo E-Tech electric from the Renault network before it is officially available to the general public, coupled with priority production and delivery of the vehicle. Each registrant who places an order during the priority period will have access to other exclusive benefits.

Holders of the Twingo R Pass (available in Germany, Belgium, Spain, France, Italy, and the Netherlands) will be first in line to order their Renault Twingo E-Tech electric in the Techno version, with the colors and equipment available at that time. They will be contacted by the Renault dealer selected on purchasing their pass, and will then have a preferential period of 22 days, from 16 December up to and including 7 January, to configure and order their vehicle. Placing their order during this private period, they will also benefit from priority production of their vehicle at the factory. They will then be among the first customers to take delivery of their new vehicle. In addition, the Twingo R Pass can be purchased until January 7, 2026, to benefit from priority delivery.

Other customers will be able to order their car from 8 January 2026, while orders for the Evolution version will open to everyone in spring 2026.

Customers can showcase their Renault Twingo E-Tech electric with optional 18-inch wheels (16-inch wheels as standard), available with both Evolution and Techno, for a style unique in this segment.

Four bodywork colours are available: Absolute Red, Absolute Green, Mango Yellow and Starry Black. When orders open for the Evolution version next spring, two more colours will be added to the range: Glacier White and Schist Grey.

With both Evolution and Techno, Twingo E-Tech electric ships as standard with a 6.6 kW AC charger, taking the battery from 10% to 100% in just 4 hrs. An Advanced Charge pack with an 11 kW AC bidirectional charger and a 50 kW DC charger is available as an option. This charges the battery from 10% to 80% in 30 minutes. The 11 kW AC charger includes the functions V2L (vehicle-to-load), delivering up to 3,700W of power for a 220V appliance connected to the vehicle battery using a power-to-object adapter. It also supports V2G (vehicle-to-grid) to save on the cost of home charging.

This Advanced Charge pack is available for €500 on both the Techno and Evolution finishes. As a result, the entry-level price for Twingo E-Tech electric with DC charging is still under €20,000.
