Chargetrip and Octopus Electroverse team up to power EV route planning

Chargetrip announced a partnership with Octopus Electroverse, Europe’s largest consumer EV public charging network, to embed its EV route planning solution into the Electroverse app.

The collaboration will also enable partners, including major brands like Nissan and Ford, licensing the Electroverse app to gain seamless access to Chargetrip’s advanced EV route planning technology and make locating reliable chargers close to them easy Electroverse makes charging EVs on the go a breeze with its smart technology and user-friendly features, such as discounted charging when the grid is greenest and cleanest.

Covering over 1.1 million charge points across Europe with its award-winning “one card, one app” approach, it takes the stress out of juggling multiple cards, apps, and accounts. Available for all, EV drivers get instant access to 8 in 10 charge points in Europe and different charge points from over 1,200 different charging operator brands.

With more partners asking for more than static charger maps, routing has become critical to delivering a reliable driver experience, and Chargetrip’s technology meets this need by accounting for factors such as elevation, temperature, battery health, and vehicle state-of-charge, ensuring drivers are guided to the right station that is fast, compatible, and without detours.

“This is a major step forward,” said Gideon van Dijk, CEO of Chargetrip. “Electroverse already plays a key role in the EV transition, and with this partnership, they are giving their partners the tools to build better, more reliable products. EV routing is no longer just a feature, it is a core part of making infrastructure usable.”

Chargetrip continues to expand its routing software across the UK, Europe, and North America. It reflects the growing need for EV infrastructure that is not only available, but intelligently connected.
