Hyundai EV Owners Get 10% Off IONNA Charging, 20% Through September

Hyundai is making public fast charging more affordable for its electric vehicle owners in the U.S., with eligible drivers now receiving an automatic discount at IONNA charging stations.

Starting now, eligible Hyundai EV owners receive 10% off every charging session at IONNA fast-charging stations across the U.S. The discount is available through Hyundai’s participation in IONNA, the high-speed charging network backed by a group of major automakers.

For a limited time, Hyundai EV drivers can save even more. IONNA is adding an additional 10% bonus discount through September 30, 2026, bringing the total potential savings to 20% during the promotional period.

The Hyundai discount is designed to work automatically, meaning drivers do not need to enter a promotional code or manually apply a coupon.

To receive the ongoing 10% discount, eligible Hyundai EV owners must start their charging session using Hyundai In-App Charging through the MyHyundai with Bluelink app or Plug & Charge.

The additional IONNA bonus discount is automatically stacked with Hyundai’s 10% benefit through September 30.

The standard 10% Hyundai discount can also be combined with other qualifying IONNA promotional offers, including limited-time and holiday pricing.

IONNA currently has more than 150 charging locations, giving Hyundai EV owners access to the discount across a growing network of public fast chargers.

Hyundai says the initiative is part of a broader effort to make EV ownership easier by improving charging reliability, payments and the overall public charging experience.

Which Hyundai EVs Qualify for the IONNA Discount?

The automatic discount is available to select Hyundai electric vehicles equipped with In-App Charging and/or Plug & Charge functionality.

Eligible Hyundai models currently include:

– Hyundai IONIQ 5 — 2022 model year and newer
– Hyundai IONIQ 5 N — 2025 model year and newer
– Hyundai IONIQ 9 — 2026 model year and newer
– Hyundai KONA Electric — 2025 model year and newer

Hyundai says additional EV models will become eligible as In-App Charging functionality expands.

Genesis EVs Also Qualify

The IONNA charging benefit isn’t limited to Hyundai-branded vehicles. Select Genesis EVs equipped with the required charging features are also eligible for the automatic 10% discount.

Current qualifying Genesis models include:

– Genesis GV60 — 2026 model year and newer
– Genesis Electrified GV70 — 2026 model year and newer

As with Hyundai vehicles, the discount is automatically applied when an eligible charging session is initiated through the supported Hyundai or Genesis charging functionality.

How to Get the Hyundai IONNA Charging Discount

For eligible owners, using the discount is relatively straightforward. Drivers should initiate the charging session using In-App Charging in the MyHyundai with Bluelink app or Plug & Charge at an IONNA fast-charging location.

The key benefit is that the discount is applied automatically rather than requiring a promo code.

For Hyundai EV owners charging on the road, the temporary 20% combined discount could make IONNA stations particularly attractive through the end of September. After September 30, the additional IONNA bonus expires, but the ongoing 10% Hyundai discount remains available to eligible vehicles.

IONNA’s expansion also highlights an increasingly important part of the EV ownership experience: access to reliable public fast charging. As more automakers participate in shared charging networks, incentives such as automatic discounts could help reduce the cost and complexity of long-distance EV travel.
