XPENG Launches G6 and G9 Electric SUVs in Mexico

Chinese EV manufacturer XPENG has officially expanded into Mexico, marking another step in its global growth strategy.

The company’s market entry is led by the launch of its ultra-intelligent electric SUVs, the G6 and G9, both built to deliver high performance, advanced connectivity, and fast charging capabilities.

800V Platform and Ultra-Fast Charging

At the core of both models is XPENG’s full-domain 800V high-voltage silicon carbide (SiC) platform, paired with 5C ultra-fast charging technology. This setup enables significantly reduced charging times while maintaining high efficiency and performance—an increasingly important factor for EV adoption in emerging markets.

The G6 and G9 are also equipped with XPENG’s XPILOT ASSIST system, offering a suite of advanced driver assistance features such as highway cruising, urban traffic following, automated parking, and smart summon functionality.

Smart Cabin Experience and AI Integration

Inside, both SUVs focus heavily on intelligent mobility. Features include full-vehicle voice interaction, multi-zone voice recognition, and customizable smart scenarios designed to adapt to driver preferences. These capabilities position the G6 and G9 as strong contenders in the growing segment of software-defined vehicles.

Pricing and Early Customer Incentives

The XPENG G6 is priced starting at 819,900 pesos (39,800 euro) for the Long Range variant, rising to 889,900 pesos for the Performance AWD and 919,900 pesos (44,600 euro) for the Black Edition. Meanwhile, the larger XPENG G9 starts at 1,099,900 pesos (53,400 euro) and reaches 1,259,900 pesos (61,170 euro) for the Performance AWD version.

To attract early adopters, XPENG is offering a 20,000 peso discount for the first 100 customers purchasing any G6 variant.

Strong Global Track Record

The G6 has already established a presence in over 40 international markets, performing particularly well in Europe where it ranks among the top-selling mid-size EVs from Chinese brands in countries like Norway, Germany, and Spain.

Meanwhile, the G9 has secured a place among Europe’s best-selling mid-to-large electric SUVs, achieving segment-leading positions in multiple countries, including Italy and Germany.

Dealer Network and After-Sales Infrastructure

To support its Mexican launch, XPENG has partnered with leading dealership groups to manage sales and service operations across key cities such as Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey. The first showrooms are scheduled to open on April 6, with further expansion planned nationwide.

The company has also invested in after-sales infrastructure, including a 1,000-square-meter national spare parts warehouse stocked with over 2,000 SKUs. An optimized logistics system enables delivery times of 1–3 days in key regions and up to 5 days nationwide, ensuring efficient service support.

Expanding Global Footprint

XPENG currently operates in over 60 countries and regions, including major EV markets such as the UK, France, Germany, Australia, and Thailand. The Mexico launch signals a broader push into Latin America, where the company aims to localize its offerings and build a comprehensive ecosystem of sales, service, and technology.

With the introduction of the G6 and G9, XPENG is positioning itself as a serious contender in Mexico’s evolving electric vehicle landscape, combining advanced AI-driven features with competitive pricing and strong global momentum.
