DS N°7 Premium Electric SUV Debuts With 740 km Range

DS Automobiles has unveiled the all-new DS N°7, marking a major evolution for the brand as it replaces its best-selling DS 7.

Positioned in the premium compact SUV segment, the DS N°7 brings a refined design, advanced technology, and a strong focus on electrification—headlined by a class-leading electric range of up to 740 km (WLTP).

Larger, More Efficient Design

The DS N°7 builds on the strengths of its predecessor while subtly growing in size. At 4.66 meters long with a 2.79-meter wheelbase, it offers improved interior space without compromising everyday usability.

Its sleek proportions are not just about aesthetics. Inspired by the DS AERO SPORT LOUNGE concept, the SUV achieves an impressive drag coefficient of 0.26, balancing aerodynamic efficiency with passenger comfort. Features like the extended roofline, rear spoiler, and larger glass surfaces enhance both range and cabin openness.

The design is further defined by DS’s new lighting identity, including the striking DS LIGHT BLADE signature and illuminated grille, giving the N°7 a distinctive presence day or night.

Class-Leading Electric Range and Fast Charging

The highlight of the lineup is the DS N°7 E-TENSE, available in multiple fully electric variants:

– FWD (230 hp) – up to 543 km range
– FWD Long Range (245 hp) – up to 740 km range
– AWD Long Range (350 hp) – up to 679 km range

The flagship 97.2 kWh battery enables long-distance travel with minimal stops, including up to 450 km of motorway driving at 120 km/h.

Charging performance is equally competitive:

– 20% to 80% in 27 minutes
– Up to 160 kW DC fast charging
– Around 190 km of range in just 10 minutes

Features like Plug & Charge, battery preconditioning, and integrated EV route planning further simplify long journeys.

Hybrid Option for Flexibility

In addition to fully electric versions, DS also offers a self-charging hybrid variant producing 145 hp. Combining a 1.2-liter turbo engine with an electric motor, it delivers fuel consumption of just 5.4 l/100 km and can drive up to 50% of the time in electric mode during urban use.

Advanced Technology and Driver Assistance

The DS N°7 is packed with cutting-edge features designed to enhance safety and convenience:

– DS PIXELVISION headlights with adaptive beam technology and up to 520 meters visibility
– DS DRIVE ASSIST 2.0 with Level 2 semi-autonomous driving and predictive cruise control
– DS IRIS SYSTEM 2.0 with a 16-inch touchscreen, voice control, and integrated AI capabilities
– Head-Up Display projecting key information onto the windshield
– Night Vision detecting pedestrians and animals up to 300 meters ahead

The infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while connected services enable real-time vehicle monitoring and route planning.

Premium Comfort and Interior Craftsmanship

True to DS Automobiles’ DNA, comfort remains a core priority. The DS N°7 offers:

– DS ACTIVE SCAN SUSPENSION for predictive ride comfort
– Heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats
– Optional FOCAL Electra 3D sound system with 14 speakers
– Spacious cabin with high-quality materials including Nappa leather, Alcantara, and real wood

The cabin also features a unique X-shaped steering wheel and multiple interior themes, emphasizing French craftsmanship and luxury.

Practicality Meets Everyday Usability

Despite its aerodynamic shape, the DS N°7 retains strong practicality:

– Up to 560 liters of boot space
– Flexible 40/20/40 rear seats
– Large panoramic roof for enhanced headroom

Even in electric versions, smart packaging ensures no compromise in passenger or cargo space.

European Production and Sustainability

The DS N°7 is deeply rooted in European manufacturing:

– Batteries produced in France
– Electric motors built in eastern France
– Final assembly in Italy

Sustainability is also a key focus, with recycled materials used throughout the interior and eco-friendly leather tanning processes.

Pricing and Availability

Orders for the DS N°7 have opened in France, starting with the E-TENSE 230 hp FWD ÉTOILE Business Line, priced from €64,200. Additional variants, including consumer-focused versions, will follow.
