Kia’s Vision Meta Turismo Concept Could Be The Next-Gen Stinger GT Replacement

Kia Corporation is celebrating the brand’s 80th anniversary today, holding a special ceremony to mark the occasion and opening a new exhibition at Kia Vision Square in Yongin, Korea.

The event highlighted Kia’s 80-year journey, evolving into a global leader in sustainable mobility through contributions from Kia employees past and present, and gave insight into Kia’s philosophy and future vision.

During the event, the South Korean automaker also unveiled the Kia Vision Meta Turismo concept car, which embodies Kia’s vision for a new era of mobility. The concept combines dynamic driving performance with a lounge-inspired interior, paying homage to the speed and elegance of 1960s long-distance touring.

The all-new Kia Vision Meta Turismo concept is fundamentally shaped by three distinct, interwoven pillars, defining a visionary approach to future mobility:

1. Performance Driving: The Spirit of the Grand-Tourer

Kia’s commitment to a performance-centric future is unmistakable. The Vision Meta Turismo boasts a dynamic profile and aggressive stance, meticulously engineered for responsive, spirited driving. Its overall silhouette captures the exhilarating aesthetic of a classic grand-tourer, masterfully reinterpreted through cutting-edge, futuristic design thinking focused purely on motion and speed.

2. Immersive Digital Interaction: A Seamless, Intelligent Cockpit

The concept’s defining feature is its deeply immersive digital interface. Utilizing groundbreaking technologies such as augmented reality (AR) and smart glass, Kia delivers an intelligent, interactive environment. This advanced ecosystem seamlessly adapts, evolving the user experience—from driver assistance to entertainment—based entirely on the current driving mode and contextual needs.

3. Lounge-Inspired Spaciousness: Redefining Cabin Comfort

The interior of the Vision Meta Turismo transforms the traditional cabin into a modern, sophisticated lounge space. Every element is crafted to optimize the human-mobility interaction, resulting in a relaxed, exceptionally spacious environment. Enhanced by personalized digital features and unique design elements, this approach elevates every journey into an experience defined by comfort, collaboration, and individual personalization.

Its exterior reflects the Kia design philosophy ‘Opposites United’, featuring a futuristic silhouette that blends soft surfaces with geometric elements. Inside, the design enhances human-mobility interaction through digital technology and creates a highly immersive experience for both drivers and passengers, with unique design elements and a spacious layout.

A highlight is the Vision Meta Turismo’s steering wheel, which reimagines the next-generation intuitive driving interface. It offers a more immersive driving experience with three digital modes – Speedster, Dreamer, and Gamer – utilising AR Head-Up Display (HUD) technology to deliver tailored user experiences for different driving environments. The AR HUD integrates smart glass into the vehicle, enabling drivers to view virtual graphics as if they are floating above the road in three dimensions.

Kia will unveil full information on the concept in the near future.
