All-electric Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake now available to order in the UK

The all-new Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake is now available to order in the United Kingdom. It is available in Sport, Sport Executive, AMG Line Executive, AMG Line Premium and AMG Line Premium Plus specifications. Deliveries will commence in Q1 2026. Prices start from £47,750.

The all-new CLA Shooting Brake is the first electric Mercedes‑Benz available as an estate. With up to 1,290 litres of luggage space, not including the 101-litre ‘frunk’, the CLA Shooting Brake combines the elegance, sportiness and intelligence of the CLA Saloon with an even more versatile interior with ample space for passengers and luggage.

Initially the CLA Shooting Brake is available as an electric model in two configurations: the CLA 250+ and CLA 350 4MATIC. Later in 2026 the CLA Shooting Brake will also be offered with a hybrid drivetrain featuring a completely new, electrified 1.5-litre inline four-cylinder petrol engine (M 252) and eight-speed dual-clutch transmission (8F-eDCT).

The all-electric CLA 250+ and CLA 350 4MATIC are equipped with an 85 kWh high-voltage battery and a 200 kW (272 hp) electric drive unit (EDU) mounted on the rear-axle. Developed entirely in-house by Mercedes-Benz, the EDU features a two-speed transmission: first gear allows the CLA to accelerate quickly from a standstill and deliver the best possible efficiency in urban environments, while second gear ensures high efficiency – and therefore outstanding range and long distance comfort – at consistent motorway speeds.

The CLA 350 4MATIC is equipped with an additional 80 kW (109 hp) EDU on the front axle. This electric motor is only activated when additional power or traction from the front axle is needed. The Disconnect Unit (DCU) quickly decouples this electric motor under low load, reducing front axle losses by up to 90 percent.

The Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS) integrates and controls every aspect of the CLA Shooting Brake – from infotainment and driving assistance to comfort and charging. At the heart of this liquid-cooled system lies advanced artificial intelligence, enabling the vehicle to learn driver preferences, adapt to changing conditions and make decisions in real time for a safer, more intuitive experience.

Every CLA is equipped with a 14” centre display with smartphone integration and an integrated video camera, powered by state-of-the-art high-performance chips and real-time graphics from the Unity Game Engine. From launch the MBUX Superscreen, which adds a second 14” display for the front-seat passenger, is equipped as standard from AMG Line Premium specification upwards.

Optional equipment includes a trailer coupling with ESP trailer stabilisation (£950) and a direct current charging system (£850), which enables owners to charge their CLA Shooting Brake at 400-volt DC charging stations.
