EVBox supplies 300 EVBox Troniq Modular stations to EVzen network in France

EV charging solutions provider EVBox has been selected by SMEG to supply 300 EVBox Troniq Modular fast charging stations for its fast-growing EVzen charging network in France.

As the main energy infrastructure operator in Monaco for more than 130 years, SMEG created its EV charging branch, EVzen to support its customers in France and Monaco in the electric mobility transition.

EVBox’s and SMEG’s collaboration began in 2019 to provide EVBox BusinessLine charging stations for commercial purposes in Monaco. Since summer 2021, SMEG has been deploying the first stages of its own EVzen fast-charging network in Southern France, largely based on EVBOX hardware.

Now, EVBox and SMEG have joined forces again for the second stage of the EVzen network rollout. EVBox is supplying SMEG with 300 EVBox Troniq Modular charging stations, ranging from 120 to 180kW, to be installed in more than 100 commercial sites all around France.

The installations will be added to SMEG’s EVzen network, which already comprises of 150 fast charging ports in France. The main initiative of this collaboration is to advance fast charging infrastructure in rural and urban areas, where demand for charging on-the-go is high.

SMEG’s DNA is reliability and customer focus. We wanted to further strengthen our partnership with EVBox, in whom we have complete confidence and with whom we are working hand in hand to massively deploy fast charging throughout France. We’re convinced that together, we’ll be able to provide EV drivers with an ideal charging experience all around France, said Anthony Dupont (Director for Electric Mobility at SMEG).

Our strong collaboration with SMEG over the years has met the various needs of EV drivers a-like, from first installing commercial EV charging, to now public fast charging infrastructure. With our extensive portfolio, we are committed to supplying EV charging solutions tailored to each businesses’ needs. We are happy to continue working with SMEG’s EVzen network to empower businesses and make EV charging accessible, said Amélie Trégouet (France Regional Director at EVBox).
