EAVE chooses EVBox as part of 10,000 charging station rollout plan in Spain

EVBox, a provider of EV charging solutions, and EAVE an expert in EV charging and solar power solutions, are partnering to deliver EVBox AC and DC charging across Spain.

With EAVE’s focus on charging ecosystems, EVBox residential and commercial EV charging solutions can be integrated with energy management systems, so that charging stations can derive energy from renewable sources, like solar panels.

In support of Spain’s 2050 carbon neutrality goal, EAVE has partnered with the most important car dealers throughout the country and aims to have 10,000 charging ports at EV drivers’ homes and public places installed by 2025 for the transition to electric mobility.

Starting in 2019 on the Canary Islands, EAVE quickly expanded onto mainland Spain. Currently, EAVE operates 8 branches across Spain (Madrid, Barcelona, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Palma de Mallorca, Sevilla, Alicante and Bilbao) to serve the entirety of the country. After having sold and installed more than 3600 EV charging stations and solar panel systems, EAVE is adding EVBox Troniq Modular, EVBox Troniq High Power, EVBox Liviqo, and EVBox Livo to their offering to accelerate their EV charging business.

With over 14 years of experience in developing DC (fast-charging) charging solutions, EVBox offers scalable products that EAVE plans to commercialize, install and service throughout Spain. The latest generation of EVBox DC charging stations, EVBox Troniq Modular and EVBox Troniq High Power, have a power output ranging from 90 kW to 400 kW, giving EV drivers the option to charge on-the-go. AC charging stations, EVBox Liviqo (commercial) and EVBox Livo (residential) that can have an energy management system integrated, so that EV drivers can charge their vehicle with clean energy, like solar, and lower their energy bill.

“This partnership with EVBox is a prime example of how two leading companies can come together to drive significant change in sustainable mobility. At EAVE, we have been committed from the start to innovate in the use of solar energy, and by joining forces with EVBox, we are setting a new standard in electric vehicle charging solutions. Together, we are not only expanding the charging infrastructure in Spain but also ensuring that this infrastructure is greener and more energy-efficient, reflecting our joint commitment to a zero-emission future,” said Luis Linares (CEO at EAVE).

“By joining forces, we unite the manufacturing expertise and advanced EV charging solutions of EVBox with the extraordinary customer focus, technical knowledge, and agile service capabilities of EAVE. Together we tap into the large need of Spain to advance electric mobility. We trust that our combined capabilities and expertise will result in tangible benefits for the Spanish consumers looking to electrify their transportation,” said Carlos Morales (EVBox, Regional Director Global Markets).
