All-new Buick Electra E4 Crossover Coupe Officially Revealed. GM to launch Ultium-based Buick Electra E4 Electric Coupe SUV in China this month.

General Motors has officially revealed the all-new Buick Electra E4 in China. The all-new Electra E4 will be the brand’s second electric vehicle in its largest market developed on the Ultium platform, joining the recently launched Electra E5 SUV.

The Electra E4 has a stylish and dynamic design, advanced cockpit system and comprehensive safety features. As a premium electric coupe SUV, it also offers the ideal combination of space, innovation, superior driving and handling to fulfill the diverse needs of EV buyers in the mainstream segment.

The exterior of the Electra E4 is inspired by the new Buick PURE Design philosophy that first appeared on the Electra-X concept unveiled last year. Its fastback design, long wheelbase of 2,954 mm, and short overhangs in both front and back define its premium coupe SUV styling, giving it dynamic and elegant proportions with efficient interior space.

The Electra E4’s sleek silhouette and sculptural surfacing create the perception of fluid motion from every angle. The floating roof, double rear spoiler, hidden door handles and all-around underbody rocker contribute to its outstanding aerodynamic performance.

The expressive new face of Buick adopted on the Electra E4 is another design legacy from the Electra-X concept. The layered front fascia includes a bold forward-leaning nose and modernized Buick wing-shaped lighting signature. High-mounted LED checkmark lamps crafted in a thin and crisp form visually stretch the width of the vehicle. The aggressive trapezoidal grille on the lower part of the front end infuses a parametrical design matched with bold chrome accents, adding to its powerful stance and lower center of gravity.

The rear window is seamlessly integrated with the large glass roof, creating an open-air sensation. Integrated taillamps with distinguishing longitudinal moulding, the unique double spoiler and a high-gloss piano black rocker further enhance the vehicle’s sporty and confident appearance.

The interior adopts a floating design that offers a sense of lightness and spaciousness. Thanks to the Ultium platform and efficient cabin layout, the Electra E4 provides segment-leading headroom of 1,013 mm in the front as well as customer-pleasing headroom and knee space for second-row passengers.

Adding to the comfortable ambience is the 1.2-square-meter panoramic glass canopy that utilizes low-radiation glass with segment-leading UV protection for a premium feel.

The focal point of the Electra E4’s all-new Buick Virtual Cockpit System is the eye-catching EYEMAX 30-inch integrated curved screen. The driver-centric display has 6K resolution and incorporates a powerful Snapdragon 8155 chip. It allows convenient access to all necessary driving information and vehicle controls, with smooth, intuitive human-machine interaction.

The latest Buick connectivity system has been further optimized with a modern user interface, multimedia content and advanced intelligent voice assistance that supports enhanced navigation and customized voice command.

The Electra E4 has over 28 storage areas, including a 4.1-liter open space in the front. Other thoughtful details and purposeful innovations include new dynamic seats featuring floating wide headrests, 121-color ambient lighting, Apple CarPlay and wireless phone charging.

Like the Electra E5 SUV, the Buick Electra E4 will be powered by a base single motor powertrain making 180 kW (241 HP). A dual-motor version is expected to follow later.

The all-new Buick Electra E4 will officially launch on Monday, June 19th in China, and it is expected to go on sale later this month as an exclusive vehicle for the Chinese market.
