Renault Megane E-Tech joins electric car subscription service Onto’s fleet

All-inclusive electric car subscription service Onto expands its fleet with the newly released Renault Megane E-Tech this month. Working together since Onto’s launch in 2018, the brands have since welcomed a range of popular models and trim levels to subscribers including the famous Renault Zoe.

Onto was founded in 2018 with the goal to accelerate electric car adoption and offer a sustainable, flexible and hassle-free alternative to traditional car ownership. Customers can choose from a wide range of electric vehicles, now including the newly released Renault Megane E-Tech in the Techno trim at £799 per month and be amongst the first to drive the car in the UK.

Through a monthly subscription, customers get the latest electric cars with insurance, 750 miles per month, servicing, breakdown and free public charging via its network of charging partners. The Renault Megane launch comes in response to the Renault Zoe’s popularity, and subscribers have access to a range of models with the ability to swap cars to suit their lifestyle needs.

The all-new electric Renault Megane E-Tech has been awarded the maximum 5-star safety rating from Euro NCAP and Top Gear’s ‘Family Hatch of the Year’. It contains the latest driving assistance features including a premium six-speaker sound system, and Google Assistant to control features in the car, such as the heated seats and Sports Mode. And, it also comes with a 440-litre boot space. With 20-inch alloy wheels, sustainable materials throughout the cabin, and an aerodynamic silhouette, it offers an eye-catching design.

Powered by a 60kWh battery, the Renault Megane E-Tech can reach up to 225 miles of Real World Range on a single charge and can charge from 10 to 80% in just 30 minutes. With zero tailpipe emissions, the Megane E-Tech is ideal for commuters or long distances.

Rob Jolly, CEO and Co-founder at Onto, said: “The Renault Zoe has been a popular car amongst subscribers since we partnered with Renault at the beginning of our journey. We’re thrilled to build on our partnership to launch the award-winning Renault Megane E-Tech and we’re seeing strong demand already. As we continue to grow, introducing new models to the fleet will ensure we continue to offer flexibility and choice to people looking to make the switch,”

Guillaume Sicard, Country Head UK & Managing Director Renault Brand UK, added: “We’re incredibly proud of the All-New Renault Mégane E-Tech 100% Electric. It builds on the success of the pioneering Renault Zoe by offering not just a striking, fully-electric car with excellent safety and premium features. It’s also our most connected car to date, with a 12.3-inch dashboard display, a 9-inch multimedia display, Google Maps and Google Assistant built-in, and a My Renault app that seamlessly integrates the Mégane E-Tech 100% Electric into our increasingly digital lives.”
