After announcing UK pricing and specifications for Ami 100% electric and My Ami Cargo just a few short weeks ago, Citroen UK has now revealed the first retail consumer offer available on the exciting new Ami 100% electric quadricycle.
Thanks to Citroen UK’s ‘Fair Pricing’ policy and vastly improved reputation for strong residual values, buyers will be able to pick up an Ami 100% electric for just £19.99 per month on Personal Contract Purchase (PCP), over 24 months, with a customer deposit of just £2,369, plus an optional final payment to purchase the vehicle at the end of the contract.
Progressively from today (Tuesday 14 June) – and continuing throughout the rest of June and July – customers who have already reserved an Ami 100% electric or My Ami Cargo with a £250 refundable reservation fee, will be able to convert their reservations into firm customer orders, for delivery beginning later this summer. A limited number of customers will be contacted per day – in date order – to ensure there is appropriate ‘Ami Expert’ support available, if needed.
As Ami 100% electric and My Ami Cargo are sold exclusively online, reservers will be given early access to Citroen’s online platform, using unique log-in details provided by the ‘Ami Expert’ team. Once on the Citroen platform, customers will be able to configure their Ami from one of the four versions available – ‘Ami’, ‘Ami Pop’, ‘Ami Vibe’ and ‘My Ami Cargo’. Adding a splash of colour to the Ami 100% electric’s quirky styling, customers will be able to enhance their ‘Ami’ by adding one of three Colour Packs: Orange, Blue or Grey.
Once a customer has chosen the version of Ami that’s right for them, they will be able to finalise their order by selecting either the PCP or Cash purchase option, and by choosing whether to collect their Ami from their nearest approved Ami delivery point or to make use of Citroen’s home delivery service for a small fee (geographical restrictions apply).
Upon receipt of the final order via the Ami online platform, Citroen UK will process the customer’s order and trigger the refund of their £250 reservation fee.
All versions of Ami feature a 6kW electric motor, allowing the new model to reach a top speed of 27.9mph, and a 5.5kWh battery that gives it a range of over 46 miles (under WMTC testing). A charging cable is built into the passenger door frame, which attaches – using a simple adapter (supplied with both Ami 100% electric and My Ami Cargo) – to a Type 2 connector, allowing a full charge to be completed in just three hours from a home Wallbox or a public charging point.
